First Lady Melania Trump Reveals This Year’s White House Christmas Theme

Do you have your Christmas tree up yet?

I have to admit, I still need to pick out a tree.

First Lady Melania Trump unlike me is on top of the ball.

The First Lady recently unveiled the White House’s new Christmas theme.

The New York Post reported more on Melania’s Christmas decorations:

First lady Melania Trump decked the White House halls with the theme “Home is Where the Heart Is,” featuring an assortment of decorations intended to showcase American “generosity, patriotism, and gratitude.”

The glitzy White House decorations include more than 10,000 blue butterflies, 25,000 feet of ribbons, 2,000 strands of light, 2,800 gold stars, 700 feet of garland, 120 pounds of gingerbread, 51 Christmas trees, and 75 classic Christmas wreaths.

“The saying ‘Home is Where the Heart is’ resonates deeply with me, especially as I navigate the joys, challenges, and frequent motion that comes with motherhood and business,” Melania Trump explained.

“The constant movement has taught me that home is not merely a physical space; rather, it is the warmth and comfort I carry within, regardless of my surroundings.”

Many people compared the Christmas theme to Jill Biden’s White House Christmas theme:

The Daily Mail reported on the contrast between Melania and Jills decorations:

But Americans were quick to point out the stark difference from the traditional Christmas decorations this year compared to former First Lady Jill Biden’s circus-themed holiday decor in 2024.

One user posted screen shots from the first ladies’ videos year-to-year, with Melania Trump’s featuring the Christmas Nativity Scene and last year’s showing performers – some gender-ambiguous – parading around the White House.

The president couldn’t help but get a bit cheeky by inserting himself into the decor with a Lego portrait of himself just feet from another Lego portrait of first US President George Washington.

‘This is what CLASS truly looks like,’ one pro-MAGA user wrote, posting an image of the Merry-Go-Round Christmas tree from last year side-by-side with the tree on display currently with the toy portraits. ‘I can’t believe Jill denigrated Christmas at the White House like that. We’re so back.’

To showcase the whimsy of the season, more than 10,000 blue butterflies were featured in celebration of the ‘youth who represent our Nation’s bright future’ as well as 75 wreaths and 51 Christmas trees throughout the White House.
