PRESIDENT TRUMP: “Sure, why not! I get along with everybody!”

While boarding Marine One this morning, President Trump was asked about Marjorie Taylor Green.

I thought his response was fascinating…

The reporter compares the Trump/MTG rift to the Trump/Musk rift and asks if Trump can reconcile with Elon Musk could he then reconcile with Marjorie Taylor Greene.

His response?

“Sure, why not!  I get along with everybody!”

And I really liked this one too….

I think we have such a polarized, offend-able world we live in that if you disagree with someone it’s seen as the end of the world.

President Trump perfectly explains that here….there’s nothing to “forgive” because he simply disagreed with her and stated so.

Not a big deal, but she took her ball and went home and resigned from Congress over it.

Quite an absurd reaction if you ask me.

BREAKING: Marjorie Taylor Greene Is Stepping Down From Congress!

Now, President Trump has responded to the news of MTG stepping down.

He basically said good riddance, calling it "great news for the country."

ABC's Rachel Scott shared the conversation she had with President Trump over the phone:

Just spoke with Pres. Trump on the phone. He said @RepMTG
resigning is "great news from the country."

"I think it's great news for the country. It's great," the president said.

I asked if she gave him any heads up.

"Nah, it doesn't matter, you know but I think it's great. I think she should be happy," he said.

President Trump also addressed his meeting with NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani at the White House today, saying they had "good chemistry."

Of course, Rep. Taylor Greene's resignation follows her slowly falling-out with President Trump and the Republican party at large.

He recently dropped his endorsement of her and called her a traitor to the MAGA movement.

The Hill has more:

President Trump on Friday night said Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) announcement that she is leaving Congress in early January is “great news for the country” — perhaps pouring salt on the wound one week after pulling his support from her.

The president told ABC News’s Rachel Scott that Greene, formerly one of Trump’s biggest supporters, did not notify him of her plans prior to the announcement.

“I think it’s great news for the country. It’s great,” Trump said, according to ABC News. “I think she should be happy.”

The president also told Scott that as of now, he didn’t have plans to speak with the Georgia Republican, but wished her well.

Your thoughts?

Do you agree with President Trump that MTG resigning is good for our country?
