World Cup Visa Warning: Noem Promises Zero Tolerance for Illegal Overstays

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem just issued a warning to foreigners traveling to the United States for the World Cup next summer.

You’re welcome to come here and enjoy the sporting event, but don’t try to illegally overstay your visa!

Noem promised that anyone coming here on a tourist visa for the World Cup will be thoroughly vetted and that the DHS will ensure they go back to their countries a timely manner.

The 2026 FIA World Cup will be hosted in sixteen cities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

In case you’re wondering, around 6 million foreign travelers are expected to come to the U.S. for the event!

It’s nice to know that the Trump administration is preparing for this huge event to ensure it goes off safely and that the people coming here won’t be allowed to abuse the system to stay here indefinitely.
