BREAKING: Mitt Romney’s Sister-In-Law Found Dead After “Falling” 5-Stories Off a Parking Garage

I want to be clear, I am not saying Mitt Romney or his Brother or “Pierre Delecto” did anything wrong here…

I’m just reporting the very sad news that Mitt Romney’s sister-in-law, estranged wife of Mitt’s brother, is dead after reportedly “falling” from the 5th level of a parking garage.

Horrific.

Here is a look at the parking structure and resulting police on the scene:

Did she fall?

Jump?

Pushed?

Something else?

Local NBC8 had more details:

Carrie Elizabeth Romney, the sister-in-law of former U.S. Sen. Mitt Romney, was found dead near a shopping mall in Santa Clarita on Friday, authorities said.

Carrie, 64, was discovered around 9 p.m. in the 24000 block of Town Center Drive, adjacent to the Valencia Town Center shopping mall, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Her cause of death remains under investigation. Officials said she may have fallen or jumped from a five-story parking structure, though the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet confirmed the manner of death. Her case is currently listed as “deferred” pending further testing, including toxicology.

“Our family is heartbroken by the loss of Carrie, who brought warmth and love to all our lives,” the Romney family said in a statement to People on Tuesday. “We ask for privacy during this difficult time.”

Carrie was married to George Scott Romney, Mitt Romney’s older brother and a corporate attorney. George, who goes by Scott, was previously married to Ronna Romney. He is the father of former Republican National Committee chair Ronna McDaniel.

There were reportedly strong tensions in the divorce:

While the divorce was vicious and began just 4 months earlier, the NY Post reports police do not suspect foul play:

Mitt Romney’s brother filed for divorce just four months before his estranged wife plunged to her death from a California parking garage — and tried to make sure courts awarded her nothing in the split, court documents show.

George Scott Romney, 81, filed the case against 64-year-old Carrie Elizabeth Romney in June, citing “irreconcilable differences” in papers obtained by The Post.

Romney — a seasoned litigator who previously ran for public office — sought to “terminate the court’s ability to award support” to either person in the divorce, court documents show, suggesting he wanted to make sure the courts didn’t step in and give his wife any assets.

Other documents from the split — filed by Romney’s lawyer — noted that both parties had agreed to “mediate property and support.”

Carrie, however, returned fire with her own filings requesting that Romney provide her with alimony, and pay the legal costs of the divorce.

She also requested that her name be restored to a former last name, Dimas.

The case was still ongoing when Carrie’s body was found at the base of a parking garage Friday night in Valencia, 35 miles north of downtown Los Angeles.

Investigators are still looking into whether she jumped or accidentally fell, with the LA County medical examiner listing her cause of death as “deferred” as of Tuesday evening.

Foul play is not suspected, cops said.
