We this is quite the plot twist!

Although the Nobel committee had their head stuck firmly up their rear end, others are thinking more clearly.  Including the woman they awarded the peace price to.

In a classy and wise move, she dedicated her prize to President Trump who she said deserved it!

As WLT Report previously reported:

The Nobel Peace Prize winner has been announced.

And, of course, the Committee snubbed President Trump to instead give the award to Venezuelan peace activist Maria Corina Machado.

But, in a huge twist, Machado immediately dedicated the prize to President Trump!

Take a look:

Here’s Maria Machado’s full statement on X:

This recognition of the struggle of all Venezuelans is a boost to conclude our task: to conquer Freedom.

We are on the threshold of victory and today, more than ever, we count on President Trump, the people of the United States, the peoples of Latin America, and the democratic nations of the world as our principal allies to achieve Freedom and democracy.

I dedicate this prize to the suffering people of Venezuela and to President Trump for his decisive support of our cause!

This is so awesome.

I bet that’s the Nobel Peace Committee was expecting!

Reuters has more:

Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado won the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for fighting dictatorship in the country and dedicated the award in part to U.S. President Donald Trump, who has repeatedly insisted he deserved it.

Machado, a 58-year-old industrial engineer who lives in hiding, was blocked in 2024 by Venezuela’s courts from running for president and thus challenging President Nicolas Maduro, who has been in power since 2013.

“Oh my God … I have no words,” Machado told the secretary of the award body, Kristian Berg Harpviken, in a phone call which the Nobel Committee posted on social media.

“I thank you so much, but I hope you understand this is a movement, this is an achievement of a whole society. I am just one person. I certainly do not deserve it,” she added.

Don’t get me wrong: after ending eight wars in a single year, President Trump absolutely deserved to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

But, in many ways, this is even better than President Trump outright receiving the award himself.
