BREAKING: Two Delta Planes Collide at New York City Airport


Late Wednesday night, two Delta planes collided with each other at LaGuardia Airport in New York City.

Thankfully, the planes were both taxiing at a low speed when they crashed.

Still, at least one person has reportedly been injured.

The scene was captured by a CBS News producer who was on board one of the planes involved in the accident.

Per Free Press Journal:

A CBS News producer was on board flight DL5047 at the time of the incident. The plane, in which the journalist was travelling, was coming from Charlotte Douglas International Airport. When it was taxing, its one of the wings got stuck by another Delta regional jet. A video, shared by CBS News, shows exact moment of the collision.

The collision snapped one of the wings off of one of the planes and damaged the nose of the other plane.

‘They were taxing to the gate at LGA after landing at CLT when they were struck by another Delta regional jet that was taxiing by,’ a CBS News producer who was onboard DL5047 claimed.

Pictures taken in the aftermath of the crash show the nose of at least one of the planes suffered significant damage.

Crew members and passengers were seen on the tarmac, along with police, after the incident occurred.

Thank the Lord it wasn’t worse, but it’s still very scary.
