Fox News shared details on the new proposal and what Republican lawmakers are planning to introduce it:
A pair of House Republicans are pushing to have Charlie Kirk memorialized on U.S. currency in the wake of his assassination earlier this month.
Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger, R-Texas, and Rep. Abe Hamadeh, R-Ariz., plan to introduce a bill later this week directing the U.S. Treasury to mint 400,000 silver dollar coins with Kirk’s likeness, the pair first told Fox News Digital.
It’s the latest proposal in a litany of bills and resolutions introduced by Republican lawmakers to honor the conservative activist after he was shot and killed during a college campus speaking event in Utah earlier this month.
The coins, which would be considered legal tender, would have Kirk’s image on one side and feature the words “well done, good and faithful servant” on the other.
They would also be inscribed with Kirk’s full name, “Charles James Kirk,” the year 2026 as well as the U.S.’s full name and motto.
The coins’ final design would be selected by the Treasury Secretary in consultation with the sitting president, in this case, President Donald Trump.
“Since 1892, Congress has authorized commemorative coins to celebrate and honor historic American patriots,” Hamadeh told Fox News Digital.

A road in Florida has already been named after Kirk, per CF Public:
Lake County commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to designate Schofield Road in the southern part of the county as a memorial to the slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The vote came after many residents spoke out against the idea, citing Kirk’s views and comments as divisive.
Similar designations elsewhere in Florida are in the pipeline.
At a meeting Wednesday evening, the Melbourne City Council plans to discuss renaming part of Cypress Avenue as Charlie Kirk Lane. And a bill filed Tuesday — House Bill 33 — would designate a portion of State Road 985 in Miami-Dade County as Charlie Kirk Memorial Avenue.
In Lake County, Commissioner Anthony Sabatini — a conservative firebrand himself — was behind the memorial designation.
“I’m hoping every county steps up,” he said, “and I’m hoping every city steps up to name some place or road after Charlie Kirk. He truly was, in my opinion, the greatest member of our generation thus far.”
Other commissioners praised him as “a devout Christian” and said his controversial comments — like calling the Civil Rights Act a mistake — were taken out of context.
