He’s now resting comfortably at the hospital.

TMZ has more details:

The legendary actor experienced an issue with his blood sugar while at his home in Los Angeles late Wednesday afternoon, according to sources with direct knowledge.

In spite of his age, William Shatner is still very active.

The Mirror US noted:

Despite his age, Shatner has remained active. He’s recently participated in fan events and continued to work on projects tied to his iconic role as Captain James T. Kirk.

Shatner became a Hollywood icon through his role on the original Star Trek television series, which debuted in 1966. His portrayal of the Enterprise captain helped shape modern science fiction and launched a career that spanned six decades.

On a new episode of On The Red Carpet Icons, Shatner reflected on his career.

“Is there a ‘Star Trek’ moment that makes you especially happy that you were a part of over those years?” entertainment reporter George Pennacchio asked.

“Well, yes, the beauty of so many of the shows and the excellence of the writing and all those friends of mine who were three years in the making,” Shatner said. “It’s a very intimate thing doing a series.”

In addition to acting, Shatner has worked as a recording artist and author. He also became the oldest person to travel to space in 2021, flying aboard Blue Origin’s NS-18 mission at age 90.

Please pray for a speedy recovery!

Get well soon, William!
