I don’t want to ‘hide the ball’ in this story — as Noah consistently warns us not to do.
So let me drop the biggest kernels of action right off the bat:
The Board of Directors has unanimously put Erika Kirk in the driver’s seat of Turning Point. She is now officially the CEO of Turning Point USA.
And a judge has issued a Protective Order for Erika and her two little ones based on a ‘credible threat’.
I have the details on that. But if you’ll stick with me…
I want to start with the story within the story; the thing that those who would go to violent lengths to silence Charlie Kirk truly do not understand.
Ever since Erika Kirk made her impassioned speech just two days after her husband’s brutal martyrdom, people have been repeating different versions of her keynote line.
“You have no idea…”
And, they don’t. They don’t know:
- What is coming.
- What they’ve unleashed.
- What is going to happen next.
- How COMMITTED we now are.
But I think many people suspect that was just the emotional outpouring of a grieving widow. REASONABLE… but momentary emotional fist shaking.
It is not. And I have the proof.
Before we get into the details of the headline story, here’s a moment captured from an occasion when Erika Kirk appeared alongside her husband for an episode of the Charlie Kirk Show:

In his own words, Charlie Kirk was no where near as conservative in his worldview as his wife!
Indeed, the wide plethora of those arrayed against what Charlie Kirk stood for — God, Family, and Country — have no idea what they have unleashed.
But the Board of Directors at Turning Point USA certainly knows, and they are fully behind Erika Kirk’s vow to carry on Charlie Kirk’s work with even more fervency.
Here’s the official announcement put out by the Turning Point Board after they elected Erika Kirk to the position previously held by her late husband:

The awesome challenge and calling to continue the work Charlie Kirk started with Turning Point now falls to his grieving widow.
But she’s a firebrand to say the least, and a champion of conservative principles to the degree that even Charlie looked up to!

Almost simultaneously, the judge currently involved in the case against Charlie Kirk’s suspected assassin issued a protective order for Erika.
That order comes as many anticipate the current animosity towards Charlie Kirk and all things Godly and conservative in nature to continue.
The judge in the case found that Tyler Robinson represents a ‘credible threat’ to Erika, even as he is locked behind bars in the pre-trail phase, according to Newsweek:
A Utah judge has issued a pretrial protective order barring Tyler James Robinson, the man accused of killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk, from contacting Kirk’s widow, Erika.
The order was filed in Utah’s Fourth Judicial District Court in Provo on September 16, and remains in effect until further order of the court.
ADVERTISEMENTWith prosecutors pursuing the death penalty and Turning Point USA’s future now closely tied to how Erika Kirk carries forward her late husband’s mission, the case underscores the intersection of criminal justice, politics, and the risks facing public figures in today’s polarized climate.
The order identifies Erika Kirk as the protected party and prohibits Tyler Robinson from engaging in harassment, threats, stalking, or “any other conduct that would place the protected person or designated family or household members in reasonable fear of bodily injury.”
The court found that Robinson “represents a credible threat to the physical safety of the protected person,” according to the filing signed by Judge Tony F. Graf.
The terms further bar Robinson from contacting Erika Kirk directly or indirectly, including through phone, email, text, social media, or mail.
The image of Charlie Kirk’s martyrdom will be forever etched in my mind.
Personally, I wouldn’t have it any other way — except that we could go back and push that bullet a few inches off course.
Nevertheless, not OUR will… but may God’s be done.
But the possibility that Erika Kirk could potentially fall under the same threat of violence that took out Charlie is beyond my mind’s ability to comprehend with his death so fresh.
Thank God for the judges who use their legitimate authority wisely!
The heaviness of these issues has surely been weighing on you just as it has me.
With that in mind, I want to leave you with a different image in case you haven’t seen it yet.
