UPDATE: JD Vance Reveals John Bolton Investigation Is Only Partially About Classified Documents

HEADS UP FOLKS!

JD Vance just low-key revealed a huge bombshell and almost no one is picking up on it…

In an interview with the atrocious Kristen Welker, Vance revealed midway through the interview that the investigation is only partially about classified documents, implying that it’s much bigger than just having a few documents in his house.

He then added the Trump Administration is very concerned about John Bolton.

CNBC broke down Vance’s statements on the Bolton investigation:

The law enforcement investigation of former Trump national security advisor John Bolton is “in the very early stages,” Vice President JD Vance said on the heels of the FBI’s raid of Bolton’s Maryland home on Friday morning.

Vance, in a new interview with NBC News’ Kristen Welker, said that classified documents are “certainly part of” that probe, but that “there’s a broad concern about Ambassador Bolton.”

Bolton is not being targeted because of his criticism of President Donald Trump, Vance told Welker in the interview, set to air Sunday on “Meet the Press.”

“If we were trying to do that, we would just throw out prosecutions willy-nilly, like the Biden administration [Department of Justice] did,” he said.

Bolton served as Trump’s national security advisor from April 2018 through September 2019.

FBI agents searched his office in Washington, D.C., in addition to his Bethesda home, on Friday.

“I will say we’re going to let that investigation proceed,” Vance said.

President Trump has also responded to the raid, per The Hill:

President Trump said Friday he was not given advance notice of an FBI search of former national security adviser John Bolton’s home but criticized his former aide as a “lowlife” and suggested he could be “very unpatriotic.”

“He’s not a smart guy. But he could be a very unpatriotic guy. We’re going to find out. I know nothing about it. I just saw it this morning, they did a raid,” Trump told reporters when asked about the search.

The president said he expected the Justice Department (DOJ) to brief him on the situation later Friday.
“I tell [Attorney General Pam Bondi], and I tell the group, I don’t want to know, but you have to do what you have to do. I don’t want to know about it,” Trump said. “It’s not necessary. I could know about. I could be the one starting it. I’m actually the chief law enforcement officer. But I feel that it’s better this way.”

Federal agents were seen searching Bolton’s home in Maryland on Friday morning. The FBI confirmed there was “court-authorized law enforcement activity” going on in the area.
