“This Will Go Further”: President Trump Hints MULTIPLE Dem-Run Cities are NEXT After Activating National Guard!

In response to rampant crime in the nation’s Capital, President Trump has just declared an emergency situation in DC.

He took direct control of the DC Police force, and simultaneously activated the DC National Guard with plans to field hundreds to the streets of DC immediately.

And almost in the same breath he made it clear that he was looking at other cities — NYC, Los Angeles, and others — as candidates that he might target with similar actions next!

At a White House press conference flanked by Administration officials including Sec. of Defense Hegseth and AG Pam Bondi, the President declared his intention to “take our Capital back”.

He proclaimed today as “Liberation Day” before announcing he is officially invoking a portion of the 1973 law called the ‘District of Columbia Home Rule Act’.

The section President Trump invoked allows for the President to temporarily and unilaterally take control of the DC National Guard in certain emergency situations.

That simple common-sense act to bring the nation’s capital back in line with something resembling LAW AND ORDER was enough to make liberal heads explode.

If THAT was enough to get the Left riled up… just wait until they catch wind of the comments President Trump made about what might come next!

And he proceeds to list out potential cities in a way that sounds very much as if discussions on steps to “liberate” those cities have been had as well:

While President Trump was willing to say further “military” involvement would happen if needed…

He specified a fairly small number of of troops that he would be deploying initially in support of the now federalized DC law enforcement, as reported by Newsweek:

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed that members of the Washington, D.C. National Guard will begin arriving in the capital throughout the week as part of Trump’s public safety emergency declaration.

Trump announced that 800 National Guard troops will be deployed to Washington, D.C., to support local law enforcement amid a declared public safety emergency. “Much more if necessary,” Trump added, signaling the possibility of expanded military involvement.

He also pledged to remove homeless encampments from underpasses and public spaces across the city. “We’re getting rid of the people from underpasses and public spaces from all over the city,” he said. “We’re going to help them as much as you can help, but they’ll not be allowed to turn our capital into a wasteland”.

President Donald Trump has warned that the U.S. has “other cities that are very bad” after he declared a public safety emergency in Washington, D.C., triggering a federal takeover of the city’s police department.

“We’re not going to lose our cities over this,” he said during his Monday press conference. “This will go further.”

“We’re starting very strongly with D.C. We’re going to clean it up real quick…. We have other cities that are very bad. New York is a problem. And then you have of course, Baltimore and Oakland, we don’t even mention that anymore they’re so far gone.”

And then AGAIN he comes back around to emphasizing that he has no intention of stopping with cleaning up Washington DC!

New York, Chicago, Los Angeles — they are all apparently on the President’s agenda for some sort of emergency declaration that would be followed up by the potential for National Guard deployments:

Notice that the President also strongly suggested this cleanup would happen “quickly” — seemingly in the context that it wouldn’t take long to get to “other” cities!

While the Democrats have been decrying President Trump’s push to cleanup the Capital city, claiming he is exaggerating the situation…

President Trump described the gangs and criminals that have made DC one of the most dangerous cities in the WORLD — not to mention inside America.

I have personally walked the streets of some fairly backwater third-world nations… and I have to say I would be far less confident to walk the sidewalk of DC than some of those places.

It’s hard to imagine Democrats arguing that DC is SAFE with instances like this happening all the time:

Thankfully, the Home Rule Act does allow for exactly the actions President Trump just initiated in DC.

While he has a couple of days to notify Congress of his actions and reasoning for invoking the Home Rule Act, he doesn’t need their permission to take these actions for the next 30 days.

Beyond that, Congress would have to get involved — at least when it comes to this action in DC, considering there’s an official law on the books that governs it — according to The Hill:

President Trump on Monday announced he was taking federal control of the Washington, D.C., police department and deploying the National Guard in the nation’s capital in an effort to crack down on crime.

“Our capital city has been overtaken by violent gangs and bloodthirsty criminals, roving mobs of wild youth, drugged out maniacs and homeless people, and we’re not going ot let it happen anymore. We’re not going to take it,” Trump said.

Under the Home Rule Act, Trump can temporarily take control of the district’s police department if he determines “special conditions of an emergency nature exist.” The president announced Monday he was declaring a public safety emergency in the District.

Trump also has the authority to activate the D.C. National Guard without local approval, though he is restricted in certain other actions by the Home Rule Act, which grants various powers to the local government of the District. National Guard troops will not be able to make arrests, but will support local and federal law enforcement.

Trump said he was tapping Terry Cole, the administrator of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), to serve as the federal government’s leader of the Metropolitan Police Department. Cole was sworn in as DEA commissioner in July.

Trump must provide written notification to Congress within 48 hours outlining his rationale for taking control of the Metropolitan Police Department. The president can unilaterally control the department for up to 30 days, but Congress must approve any extension.

I’m just waiting on the liberal talking heads to read past the initial headlines indicating President Trump just federalized the DC police and is fielding the National Guard inside the Capital…

And realize that he’s planning on doing EXACTLY the same thing — at least in terms of the National Guard deployment — in multiple DEMOCRAT-RUN CITIES that are just as overrun by crime as DC!
