FACT-CHECK: Has The View Been Cancelled?

If you’ve been on social media lately, you might have seen some reports circulating that one of the most hated daytime talk shows of all time has finally been canceled.

I’m talking about The View, of course.

Social media users have been spreading a rumor that these post-menopausal, left-wing hacks are off-the-air for good.

Posts like these claim that ABC News nixed the show because of President Trump:

However, the news is too good to be true.

I wish it were true, but by all appearances, this is nothing more than fake news.

In reality, The View is on summer hiatus.

The ABC News website says the show will be returning for its next season in September.

More likely than not, social media users took this clip of Joy Behar out-of-context:

Grok confirmed:

No, The View is not canceled. The show is currently on its annual summer hiatus, which began after the July 25, 2025, episode, with encore episodes airing through August. It is expected to return for Season 29 on September 2, 2025, the day after Labor Day. Cancellation rumors were sparked by Joy Behar’s on-air mention of the hiatus and a White House statement criticizing the show, but ABC has confirmed no cancellation plans. However, one source claims the show will air its final episode later in 2025, which contradicts the majority of reports. Given ABC’s official statements and the show’s strong ratings, the cancellation claim seems unreliable.

It’s too bad.

Hopefully, Season 29 will be their last!
