Sen. Mike Lee Calls for President Trump to Honor DOGE’s ‘Big Balls’ with Medal of Freedom

Sen. Mike Lee is now calling for President Trump to award DOGE’s ‘Big Balls’ — real name Edward Coristine — with the Medal of Freedom.

The young man reportedly saved a woman from being attacked by a group of thugs in Washington, D.C. late at night a few days ago.

While bravely defending the woman, Coristine was beaten to the point of concussion, but he succeeded in saving her.

I guess they don’t call him ‘Big Balls’ for nothing.

This young man is a hero and deserves to be honored.

Sen. Mike Lee posted on X:

Earlier today, Elon Musk responded to a post from President Trump threatening to federalize D.C. in order to restore law and order by sharing the heroic story of Big Balls.

Here’s that post:

Later, the DOGE worker was identified as Edward Coristine.

Two teenagers have been arrested in the violent attack and carjacking.

The Washington Post has more:

Billionaire Elon Musk, who helmed DOGE, wrote on X that a DOGE “team member” was attacked, and Musk called to federalize D.C. The two people familiar with the incident, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly, identified the victim as Edward Coristine, who is also known by the nickname “Big Balls.”

Trump’s Truth Social post was accompanied by an image of a young person smeared in blood, sitting shirtless on the ground.

D.C. police have arrested a 15-year-old boy and girl from Maryland and charged them with unarmed carjacking, the department said in a news release. Two other people familiar with the details of the case, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly, said the suspects are being held at the city’s youth detention center.

The attack is the latest seemingly random assault on a federal staffer in Washington, intensifying scrutiny of the nation’s capital from Congress and the White House. In June, 21-year-old congressional intern Eric Tarpinian-Jachym was killed in crossfire near D.C.’s convention center. He was a rising senior at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, working for Republican Rep. Ron Estes of Kansas. No one has been charged in his death.

This afternoon, President Trump doubled down on his threat to federalize D.C. in response to the news.
