Oh, to be a fly on the wall…
Today, Deputy AG Todd Blanche paid a very special visit to Jeffrey Epstein’s second-in-command, Ghislaine Maxwell, near the prison she is being held at.
According to her lawyer, Maxwell fully cooperated and answered every single question during the interview.
Here’s what we know so far:

BREAKING: Ghislaine Maxwell’s lawyer says she fully cooperated and answered all DOJ questions during today’s interview.
“Miss Maxwell answered every single question. She never stopped, she never invoked a privilege, she never declined to answer.”
“She answered all the questions truthfully, honestly and to the best of her ability. And that’s all the comment we’re going to have today about the meeting. We don’t want to comment about the substance of the meeting, for obvious reasons, and we’ll go from there.”
Of course, nobody is releasing any further details about exactly which questions Maxwell was asked and what her answers were — at least yet.
CNBC has more:
Ghislaine Maxwell, the imprisoned accomplice of notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, “answered every single question” that she was asked Thursday in an extraordinary hours-long meeting with a top Department of Justice official in a Florida courthouse, her attorney said.
But the defense lawyer, David Oscar Markus, also said, “We don’t want to comment about the substance of the meeting for obvious reasons.”
Blanche met with Maxwell after what he said Tuesday would be an effort to get information from her about potential other abusers of girls and young women connected to Epstein.
ADVERTISEMENT“We had a very productive day today with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche and Ghislaine Maxwell,” Markus told reporters outside U.S. District Court in Tallahassee.
“We want to thank the deputy attorney general for being so professional with all of us and meeting with all of us,” Markus said.
“He took a full day and asked a lot of questions. And Ms. Maxwell answered every single question. She never stopped, she never invoked a privilege. Never declined to answer,” Markus said.
“She answered all of the questions truthfully, honestly, and to the best of her ability. And that’s all the comment we’re going to have today about the meeting.”
The attorney declined to answer when asked if Maxwell would meet with Blanche for a second day.
This is all good to hear and sounds like progress, but…why can’t we hear her answers?
Matt Van Swol made a solid point:
That’s great…
…BUT WHY ISNT THIS HEARING PUBLIC?????
Why the secrecy and closed doors?!
The American people deserve to hear what questions are being asked and what the answers are.
This is super frustrating.

There’s so much that could have gone on in that interview — everything from Maxwell exposing every last name on the client list to only being given softball questions that have nothing to do with charging anyone.
Or, perhaps she spent the time negotiating a deal to talk.
Who knows? Your guess is as good as mine.
However, we will get a chance to hear from Ghislaine Maxwell ourselves in a few weeks…
She has been subpoenaed to testify before Congress on August 11th.
