THAT’S how you fight against rogue judges.
Habba is set to be replaced by the “First Assistant.” Bondi announced: “The First Assistant United States Attorney in New Jersey has just been removed.”
“This Department of Justice does not tolerate rogue judges — especially when they threaten the President’s core Article II powers.”
Deputy AG Blanche says: “Pursuant to the President’s authority, we have removed that deputy, effective immediately. This backroom vote will not override the authority of the chief executive.”
That’s how it’s done!

Alina Habba’s term as interim U.S. Attorney for New Jersey will be over Friday, since she has not been confirmed by the Senate for the permanent position.
But, these judges refused to extend her term, and instead, tried to end it earlier.
Deputy AG Todd Blanche had this to say about their agenda:

The district court judges in NJ are trying to force out @USAttyHabba before her term expires at 11:59 p.m. Friday. Their rush reveals what this was always about: a left-wing agenda, not the rule of law. When judges act like activists, they undermine confidence in our justice system. Alina is President Trump’s choice to lead—and no partisan bench can override that.
This follows a campaign from Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries to have Alina Habba removed.
Jeffries is mad at Habba for holding Rep. LaMonica McIver accountable for assaulting ICE agents.
He recently posted:
The so-called U.S. Attorney in NJ maliciously indicted Congresswoman LaMonica McIver for doing her job.
Alina Habba is a woefully unqualified political hack who has to go.
She must be rejected by the Federal District Court judges who are considering whether to retain her.…

Judge Renée Marie Bumb signed the order to remove Habba from her position earlier today, prompting Bondi to fire the replacement — leftist hack and First Assistant U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Desiree Leigh Grace.
Now, the plan is to keep Alina Habba on in some respect, following the expiry of her term on Friday.
NBC News has more:
Desiree Leigh Grace was named U.S. attorney for New Jersey, according to an order the chief judge for the District of New Jersey, Renee Marie Bumb, signed Tuesday. The order means judges declined to extend Habba’s interim role, which expires after 120 days. Trump appointed Habba on March 24, and she was sworn in on March 28.
But Bondi said that Grace “has just been removed” and that the “Department of Justice does not tolerate rogue judges — especially when they threaten the President’s core Article II powers.”
Grace was fired by the Justice Department, a source familiar with the matter told NBC News
The plan is to reinstall Habba in the position in some capacity, as the administration did with the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of New York, but no specific method has been established yet, the person said.
What would be best, is if, instead of radical left-wing judges rushing to oust Alina Habba, the Senate rushed to confirm her to the permanent role of U.S. Attorney!
This is exactly why President Trump called for the Senate to cancel August recess and work instead to get his very important nominees confirmed.
🚨BREAKING: Federal judges in New Jersey have refused to extend Alina Habba’s role as interim U.S. Attorney.
This is unacceptable. Cancel the August recess. Get all nominees confirmed.
