Exploding Pager Operation Will ‘Seem Simple’ Compared to Surprises Israel Has Planned

Israel’s Ambassador to the United States is hinting at something big.

And more ominously, he’s even putting it on a timeline.

According to statements he made yesterday, Thursday and Friday originally seemed to be the timeframe for revealing ‘surprises’ Israel has in store for Iran.

And if Israel wasn’t already known for their creative displays of military prowess, Ambassador Yechiel Leiter is setting the bar exceedingly high.

He is claiming that whatever Israel has up its sleeve… it’s going to make the exploding pagers operation seem EASY by comparison!

That’s a tall claim, considering what Israel pulled off against Hezbollah was one of the most unexpected and genius moves in the history of warfare.

Here’s one clip of Ambassador Leiter’s remarks from yesterday evening during an interview he gave teasing the ‘surprises’:

Many — including myself — originally took Leiter’s statement to mean there were surprises yet in store set to be unleashed this coming Thursday and Friday.

Fox News ran with the story along those same lines last night, and later deleted their post after the Ambassador clarified his meaning.

Early this morning he attempted to specify exactly what he meant with this post:

Here is the full text of his clarifying post:

To be clear: When I was asked about future operations against Iran, I said that we have “already pulled off a number of surprises at the beginning of the operation,” and when the dust settles on the start of the operation “Last Thursday and Friday,” those surprises will become evident.

In other words, he seems to be hinting at ‘surprises’ that were initiated ‘last Thursday and Friday’ at the start of the campaign against Iran.

And the RESULTS of those actions would only ‘become evident’ once the dust settles from the start of the operation.

The Ambassador is therefore inferring rather straightforwardly that Israel has accomplished some sort of mastermind plan that the world doesn’t even know about yet, as made slightly more clear in this Fox News report:

Israel’s Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter said there will be some surprises amid the Jewish State’s conflict with Iran that will make Israel’s explosions of pagers and walkie-talkies used by members of Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria last year look “simple.”

“We’ve pulled off a number of surprises,” Leiter said during a Tuesday appearance on the TV network Merit Street.

“When the dust settles, you’re going to see some surprises on Thursday night and Friday that will make the beeper operation almost seem simple,” he continued.

Leiter was referring to near-simultaneous detonations of pagers used by members of the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group that killed at least 12 people, including two children, and wounded nearly 3,000 on Sept. 17 in Lebanon and Syria. The following day, at least 25 people were killed and more than 600 were wounded when walkie-talkies were detonated in the region.

Leiter on Tuesday also posted a video message on X that was recorded outside the Situation Room in the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., where he explained that Israel was “not in the business of regime change.”

If the original misunderstanding of the Ambassador’s meaning raised expectations, the clarification may have doubled that expectation.

What, exactly, has Israel pulled off… that hasn’t even become clear yet?

What ‘dust’ are we waiting to settle for it to become clear?

I could venture one guess, maybe two, which could prove themselves out; but they would be purely conjecture at this point.

Rumors have swirled for some time that Ayatollah Khamenei has been killed.  Maybe we just haven’t been told, yet?

Or… that incredibly deep nuclear facility just a little southwest of Tehran that lies under a mountain which presumably only American bombs could penetrate…

Did Israel find a way?  Did they make it inside?  Did Mossad pull off some of their sabotage work there, too?

Your guess is as good as mine, at the moment.

I do know that whatever it is, it isn’t designed simply for show.  Israel isn’t looking for spectacular showmanship right now.

They’re looking for hardcore results, because they fear that Khamenei armed with a nuke might pull off even more devastation than Hitler did without one, according to reporting of the Ambassador’s words in  The Hill:

Israeli Ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter said the goal in the war against Iran is not to contain it but to win it, as the two countries continue to exchange strikes for a third day.

During an appearance on ABC’s “This Week,” host Martha Raddatz asked Leiter how Israel would avoid escalating and attempt to contain the war.

“Martha, the objective is not to contain the war,” Leiter responded. “The objective is to win the war.”

“Eighty years ago, we had a little man with a mustache running around Europe that nobody believed him when he said he was going to destroy the Jewish people,” he continued. “We lost 6 million. Now we’ve got a crazed new Hitler running around the Middle East saying he’s going to destroy us.

“We have to take him at face value. … He’s got a concrete plan to destroy us.”

I don’t know if Iran was actually pursuing nuclear weapons.  There are zero nuclear inspectors on my payroll, and I don’t have access to review the footage, if it exists.

My guess is… they were.

Regardless, one thing is definitely not up for debate.

The Iranian regime has consistently said for years that their intention is to destroy Israel.

I agree with the Ambassador.  When someone tells you they want you dead, you take them at face value.

So whether Iran has, or was close to, a nuclear bomb before last week’s preemptive attack by Israel… I don’t know.

Frankly, I don’t care.

It’s not our war.  We voted to AVOID the constant wars.

But if Israel feels the need to take it upon themselves to rid the world of a self-described homicidal regime that has consistently threated America, and others… God bless them for it.

It’s not our war.

But personally, I’m thankful Israel sees it as theirs.

But now I’m exceedingly curious about the ‘surprises’ Israel pulled off that haven’t been made manifest… yet.

Again, your guess is as good as mine.

But I’ll bring you that story as soon as “the dust settles”, as the Ambassador specified.
