This may draw the U.S. closer to getting involved in the Israel-Iran conflict.
A spokesperson for the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel, has announced that the U.S. Embassy has received damage from an Iranian missile.
The embassy was not hit directly but was damaged by an Iranian missile landing close to the building.
Newsweek provided details on the damage:
The U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv has sustained “minor damage” after an Iranian missile landed close to the building in the early hours of Monday, said the U.S. ambassador to Israel.
Israel and Iran exchanged strikes for a fourth day into Monday after Israel launched its “preemptive” strikes on Iran’s nuclear, missile and military sites late on Thursday U.S. time.
An Iranian official said 78 people were killed and more than 300 injured in Tehran as Israel declared a state of emergency and prepared for Iran’s response.
Tehran has carried out several waves of retaliatory drone and missile strikes across Israel, as the Israeli military continues to target sites across Iran.
U.S. President Donald Trump has called for both sides to “make a deal,” but told reporters in separate remarks that “sometimes they have to fight it out.”
Israel’s defense minister, Israel Katz, said on Monday that “the residents of Tehran will pay the price, and soon,” after renewed Iranian ballistic missile strikes across Israel.
Here’s what the inside looked like:

This wasn’t targeted. Just collateral damage. We are now on day four of these escalations. What happens when U.S. personnel are actually killed?https://t.co/C9oOEk45ES

The Washington Examiner reported what U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee’s response was to the strike:
The United States Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel, sustained some damage during Iran’s latest overnight missile strikes on the Jewish nation.
U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee announced early Monday morning that the embassy suffered “minor damage” after an Iranian missile landed close to the building. Footage released Monday morning showed broken glass and damaged windows near the embassy building, according to Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom.
The embassy will remain closed on Monday, although there were no injuries to U.S. personnel, according to Huckabee.
President Donald Trump pledged on Sunday to bring an end to the conflict between Israel and Iran, revealing that negotiations are underway to secure a peace deal.
Over the weekend, the State Department said it would allow family members and selected nonemergency U.S. government personnel to leave the country, with all others sheltering until further notice.Iran has launched 370 missiles and hundreds of drones since the start of the war, bringing the total Israeli death toll to at least 24, according to Israeli officials.
Those wounded since hostilities began Friday have risen to 592, with 10 of those in serious condition, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.
Some confusion–there were NO INJURIES to US Personnel at US Embassy Branch–the minor damage to property were from the shock waves (i.e. "concussions") from the nearby blast. Not human concussions. Repeat–NO INJURIES thank God! https://t.co/ZdabOn5Yy2
