You no doubt remember the near constant threats against President Trump’s life last year — before, and after the election.
Considering the harm President Trump planned to deal to the Deep State and international actors who had been fleecing the American people, that was somewhat expected.
But once bullets started flying — literally — with far too many close calls, and President Trump just barely cheating death… (Thank You, God!)
The possibility that foreign plots could be behind some of the threats against, and attempts on, the President started to gain traction.
Now, Benjamin Netanyahu is corroborating one of those plots devised by the Iranian regime.
I know, I know — what an obvious ploy to try and push the U.S. to fully join with Israel and take out Iran once and for all.
Obviously, that is playing a role in Netanyahu’s choice of timing for discussing that plot NOW.
But in the interest of full transparency, I don’t ascribe to the many ‘binary’ arguments we have often been told we MUST choose between over the last few years.
And that includes the EITHER/OR mentality that the Iranian plot to kill Trump was EITHER 100% responsible for every attempt on the President’s life leading up to the election… which would somehow prove the ‘Deep State’ is nothing more than a conspiracy theory made up out of thin air.
Or… that the Deep State was fully responsible for all the legitimate threats against President Trump, and all the foreign plots were nothing but Deep State fakery.
The world actually seems far more complex to me. Therefore, the ‘either/or’ binary option just isn’t realistic in my mind. I tend to dismiss any forced ‘binary’ decision right out of the gate.
I think BOTH were in play; and I still do.
Unfortunately, if I’m right, that means BOTH can use the other for a certain amount of cover to conceal their own angle of attack. (Particularly when so many fall prey to accepting that forced ‘binary’ choice. MAKE CRITICAL THINKING GREAT AGAIN!!!)
Welcome to the age of information warfare. That’s the deal, like it or not. And our tendency to go ‘all-in’ on one single possible answer to any given situation is far more likely to cause situational blindness than it is to bring clarity, 9 times out of 10.
And today, sketchy timing notwithstanding, I believe Netanyahu divulged some of the truth of an Iranian plot to kill President Trump.
A plot that I suspect may STILL BE ONGOING. Which is the real reason why I’m reporting on it today.
You might remember when the DOJ (yes, Biden’s DOJ… I know, I know) unsealed charges related to an Iranian plot thwarted by the FBI:
🚨 BREAKING: The FBI thwarted an Iranian plan to assassinate President-elect Donald Trump during his reelection bid.
The indictment specifically cites “vengeance” for Trump’s killing of Soleimani as a motivating factor. ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/WKsSyJ3B98

Many argued that the Iranian plot narrative was nothing more than a Deep State attempt to throw off the scent that would ultimately lead to their own culpability in trying to kill President Trump.
I agree — they DID use it for that purpose.
But I disagree that it was totally made up. I think it was a real threat, and a real plot.
Even a top Iranian General said outright that their intention was to kill several key American leaders to revenge the killing of Qassem Soleimani.
Here’s the Iranian Republican Guard Commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh back in 2023 saying just that, very openly:
Iran’s IRGC commander of the Aerospace Force, General Amir Ali Hajizadeh: “Our goal is to kill Trump and Pompeo”
They’ve openly declared their intention. They’ve even attempted it, and failed.

It should be noted that Hajizadeh is no longer with us, and Iran is happy just to have the uniform he was wearing when Israel took him out a few days ago:

So when Netanyahu comes out today explaining that Iran named President Trump their ‘enemy number one’, I definitely understand that the Deep State will try to wield that information to hide their own plots.
That’s CIA skullduggery 101 if ever there was a core tenet to fieldcraft!
But I DON’T throw the baby out with the bathwater on this one.
I believe what Netanyahu is saying is true — not because I implicitly trust Netanyahu — but because it tracks too seamlessly, even given the suspicious timing of Netanyahu’s revelation about the plot.
In a new interview with Bret Baier, Netanyahu pushed back against the argument that Tulsi Gabbard made three months ago that Iran was NOT attempting to build a nuke.
In the same breath, he made the claims that Iran set out to eliminate President Trump, as reported by the New York Post:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was adamant that the intelligence was “absolutely clear” that Iran was on the verge of obtaining a nuclear weapon — and described himself as President Trump’s “junior partner.”
Netanyahu brushed off questions about US director of national intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s statements in March that Iran hasn’t been pursuing a nuke.
ADVERTISEMENT“The intel we got and we shared with the United States was absolutely clear — was absolutely clear, that they were working in a secret plan to weaponize the uranium,” Netanyahu told Fox News’ Bret Baier.
He also claimed that Iran has attempted to assassinate both him and Trump.
“They also tried to kill me but I’m his junior partner,” Netanyahu replied when asked about Iran’s alleged efforts to kill Trump.
Bret Baier shared a clip of that conversation via his X account:

Is Netanyahu attempting to stroke President Trump’s ego — and the ego of his American supporters — by framing the Iranian plot the way he has?
He most definitely is.
But my concern is that those plots may not be over just because President Trump is once again in office. Why would they be?
In fact, with the most recent upheavals between Israel and Iran… that overall plan by the Iranians to take out President Trump might have just been put in overdrive.
And not to forget the other side of the coin; if the Iranians are still providing natural ‘cover’ for the Deep State to take shots against President Trump… why wouldn’t they?
I expect that BOTH are still intent on carrying out plans to take out the President.
Pushed for more details, Netanyahu — as expected — didn’t go in to the specifics of his intelligence.
But he did paint the most obvious and commonsense picture of why the Iranians would want President Trump out of the picture.
He’s simply too tough, and unwilling to make a weak deal that would result in a nuclear-tipped Iran.
Here’s how Netanyahu explained Iran’s motivation for wanting to assassinate President Trump, according to Fox News:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed in his first interview since Israel launched its blistering attacks on Iran that the country’s Islamic regime had pinpointed President Donald Trump as a threat to its nuclear program and actively worked to assassinate him.
“They want to kill him. He’s enemy number one. He’s a decisive leader. He never took the path that others took to try to bargain with them in a way that is weak, giving them basically a pathway to enrich uranium, which means a pathway to the bomb, padding it with billions and billions of dollars,” the prime minister told Fox News’ Bret Baier during a special Sunday edition of “Special Report.”
“He took up this fake agreement and basically tore it up. He killed Qasem Soleimani. He made it very clear, including now, ‘You cannot have a nuclear weapon, which means you cannot enrich uranium.’ He’s been very forceful, so for them, he’s enemy number one.”
Netanyahu revealed he was also a target of the regime after a missile was fired into the bedroom window of his home. He went on to call himself Trump’s “junior partner” in threatening Iran’s ability to weaponize nuclear arms.
There are many who would say that if you accept that Iran might actually be behind a plot against President Trump… you’re just a Deep State denier.
In my mind, if you don’t EXPECT Iran to have a plan to take out President Trump, you’re ignoring one of the most obvious threats that should be expected.
Again, in a way, this is old news.
Benjamin Netanyahu is definitely bringing this up now to help push America in the direction of joining with them to finish Iran off once and for all.
But the fact that he is willing to say it openly, inviting dispute from America’s leadership, intel agencies, and even President Trump himself if he is LYING…
That tells me he probably isn’t.
And if he isn’t, did that plot just evaporate? Did it just die once President Trump won the election or took office?
No. I highly doubt it.
That may not be reason to take up arms against Iran as Netanyahu would like President Trump to do.
But it IS reason to examine our own vulnerabilities here at home — knowing full well there are sleeper cells under Iranian control within our borders as we speak.
The threat to President Trump’s life from foreign actors — nor from the Deep State — has likely not passed.
It is more probable that the plots to take him out are actually off the charts right now, and Iran in particular still has more of a bone to pick with President Trump than ever before.
How would you approach this?
