President Trump Confirms: Would ARREST Gov. Gavin Newsom!

As things heat up in Los Angeles, Gavin Newsom essentially DARED Border Czar Tom Homan to arrest him.

Today, President Trump weighed in and confirmed that he WOULD arrest the Governor of California!

Peter Doocy caught the President’s attention as he walked from the White House to step aboard the Marine Force One chopper waiting on the White House lawn.

Doocy asked the question on everyone’s mind.

Should Tom Homan call Newsom’s dare and put the Gov. of California in cuffs for aiding and abetting illegals, while putting the lives of federal agents at risk?

President Trump only hesitated for a split second, and then answered in the affirmative!

And as if to highlight the President’s willingness to see Gavin Newsom ARRESTED for the part he has — AND STILL IS — played in the violence enveloping American cities by legions of foreigners…

Maybe Gavin ‘Newscum’ should stop flapping his jaws, and actually get to work on the many problems he helped cause in his own state.

Neither the President nor Tom Homan seem unwilling to acquiesce to the Governor’s game of chicken, while his state burns.

While Gavin is calling on the President to be merciful to the violent illegals — the very ones waving foreign flags, burning police cruisers, and launching assaults against law enforcement…

President Trump, meanwhile, actually seems focused on the AMERICAN CITIZENS of Gavin’s own state, judging from his words in this report from the New York Post:

President Trump said Monday he would arrest California Gov. Gavin Newsom if Trump were in border czar Tom Homan’s place after anti-ICE riots ravaged Los Angeles over the weekend.

“I would do it, if I were Tom,” Trump told reporters upon returning to the White House from Camp David. “Gavin likes the publicity, but I think it would be a great thing,” the president went on.

“I like Gavin Newsom. He’s a nice guy, but he’s grossly incompetent, everybody knows that.”

Newsom had dared Homan to cuff him on Sunday night, telling NBC News that the Trump official should “come after me. Arrest me. Let’s just get it over with, tough guy.”

“The very incompetent ‘Governor,’ Gavin Newscum, and ‘Mayor,’ Karen Bass, should be saying, ‘THANK YOU, PRESIDENT TRUMP, YOU ARE SO WONDERFUL. WE WOULD BE NOTHING WITHOUT YOU, SIR.’ Instead, they choose to lie to the People of California and America by saying that we weren’t needed, and that these are ‘peaceful protests.’”

The president added that “we will always do what is needed to keep our Citizens SAFE, so we can, together, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

This is one time I would agree with a Democrat governor — why not give the Governor what he’s asking for?

It would be justified, and it would HELP the situation by getting him out of the way of those actually trying to solve the problems.

Gov. Newsom was actually responding to a report from NBC that essentially took Tom Homan’s words out of context, according to Fox News:

Trump border czar Tom Homan fired back at California Gov. Gavin Newsom after the Democrat dared Homan to arrest him while defending the state’s handling of anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles.

“He’s a tough guy, why doesn’t he do that [arrest me]? He knows where to find me,” Newsom told MSNBC Sunday.

“Come after me, arrest me, let’s just get it over with. Tough guy. I don’t give a damn, but I care about my community… and I’m sorry to be so clear, but that kind of bloviating is exhausting. So Tom, arrest me.”

The governor’s taunt came after Homan warned Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass could face federal charges for trying to impede ICE operations throughout the city, according to The New York Post.

Homan told “Fox & Friends” on Monday that he had told an NBC reporter that “no one’s above the law,” but there was no discussion about arresting Newsom.

“What we discussed was for those protesters that crossed the line… you can protest, you get your First Amendment rights… But when you cross that line, you put hands on an ICE officer, or you destroy property, or I’d say that you impede law enforcement, or you’re knowingly harboring and concealing an illegal alien… that’s a crime, and the Trump administration is not going to tolerate it,” he said.

“Then the reporter asked me, well, could Governor Newsom or Mayor Bass be arrested? I said, ‘Well, no one’s above the law. If they cross the line and commit a crime, absolutely they can,’ so there was no discussion about arresting Newsom.”

You’ll never convince me that wasn’t intentional collusion on the part of NBC and Gov. Newsom.

The problem is… they (the left-leaning media and Democrat leadership of failed states like California) haven’t yet realized that the Trump Administration isn’t AFRAID to call their bluff!

All things considered, Gov. Newsom should probably be worried after bringing even more heat on his head than he ALREADY had!

Now, not only are most of us calling for the arrest of Newsom and the idiotic mayor of Los Angeles…

But because of his big grandstanding showmanship, Newsom now has President Trump openly agreeing that HE WOULD arrest Newsom if he were in Tom Homan’s shoes!

I get Tom Homan’s careful steps, and his desire to make sure nothing he said is taken out of context.

But the fact is, we just saw Tom Homan and President Trump AGREE that Gov. Gavin Newsom is dangerously close to being read his rights as the “clink” of those cuffs slam shut on his wrists.

That image may have once seemed unthinkable — but so would have scenes of multitudes of FOREIGNERS openly waving foreign flags, while assaulting US federal authorities… ON U.S. SOIL!

As Homan keeps warning, no one is above the law.

And we could actually see the Democrat Governor of California in cuffs before all is said and done.
