Happy Sunday everyone!
Hope you’re having a fantastic day, and I hope this message really blesses you.
From our good friend Pastor Robb:
Today’s Sunday message is titled,
“Psalm 23. The Nature and Characteristics of Sheep.”ADVERTISEMENTPsalm 23 is probably the most famous of all psalms.
It’s probably read or printed on cards at every funeral.
Today we will look at the deep meaning of this writing by King David.
David, when he was young, was a shepherd. The youngest son usually got stuck with this job.
Shepherds were considered the lowest of life’s beings.
They weren’t usually respected and they were typically poor
and did not own much. It was not easy work either. The sheep were slaughtered for sacrifice at the temple in Jerusalem.
Jesus has likened His followers unto sheep.
So what exactly are sheep really like?I learned a lot about these woolly creatures
as I was preparing this message,
and I will share some similarities between sheep and people.
You will be surprised as you listen to today’s message.Come along and join us as we learn together.
Jesus is the great shepherd of the sheep!
Amen.Love & Blessings,
Pastor Robb Goodman
