DHS Places Family Of Colorado Terrorist Suspect In Custody

The Department of Homeland Security isn’t playing any games!

DHS agents have taken the family of the terrorist accused of attempting to murder several Jewish demonstrators in Boulder, Colorado.

BREAKING: The wife and all five children of Boulder terror suspect Mohamed Soliman have all been arrested by ICE & HSI and are now in federal custody, multiple senior DHS sources tell @FoxNews.

CNBC broke the story and had key details to add:

Federal agents on Tuesday took into custody the family of Mohamed Soliman, the man accused of attempted murder in the fire attack on demonstrators in Boulder, Colorado, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in a social media post.

Noem said that authorities are investigating whether Soliman’s family knew about or supported Sunday’s attack.

“Today, @DHSgov and @ICEGov are taking the family of suspected Boulder, Colorado terrorist, and illegal alien, Mohamed Soliman, into ICE custody,” Noem said in the post on X.

“This terrorist will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We are investigating to what extent his family knew about this heinous attack, if they had knowledge of it, or if they provided support to it,” Noem wrote.

“I am continuing to pray for the victims of this attack and their families. Justice will be served.”

ABC reported that Soliman’s visa had expired three months before the attack.

Per ABC News:

Soliman — who was arrested after allegedly throwing Molotov cocktails in an “act of terrorism” during a pro-Israel demonstration on Sunday — has been in the U.S. on an expired tourist visa, officials said

The father of five was granted a work permit, but that had also expired in March.

Soliman was born in Egypt and lived in Kuwait for 17 years before moving to Colorado Springs three years ago, court documents said.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio wrote on social media on Monday, “In light of yesterday’s horrific attack, all terrorists, their family members, and terrorist sympathizers here on a visa should know that under the Trump Administration we will find you, revoke your visa, and deport you.”

WLT Report previously reported that USAID paperwork was found inside Soliman’s vehicle.
