FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino just announced an investigation into a violent attack on Christians at an outdoors worship concert in Seattle, WA over the weekend.
He posted on X:
We have asked our team to fully investigate allegations of targeted violence against religious groups at the Seattle concert.
Freedom of religion isn’t a suggestion.— Dan Bongino (@FBIDDBongino) May 28, 2025
On Saturday, Christian group MayDay USA held a concert in Seattle that doubled as a rally to support the pro-life movement and oppose transgenderism.
Antifa and so-called “trans rights” activists descended on the outdoor gathering and assaulted many of the Christian attendees.
Police arrested nearly two dozen of the violent protestors.

'On Fire Ministries' planned the rally to oppose abortion and promote their views on gender. Pro-trans rights protesters gathered to oppose.

Disgustingly, the Mayor of Seattle blamed the peaceful Christians for triggering the violent attack against them.
Despite First Amendment rights and the fact that MayDay USA had obtained a permit from the city to hold their concert, Mayor Bruce Harrell implied it was a mistake to allow them to have an event there.
The Post Millennial reported:
Following the attack, Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell condemned the Christian group who was attacked, claiming that they were “far-right” and had no business holding an event in the park due to its proximity to the locus of the LGBTQ+ community. 23 arrests were made among the militants who showed up to harass the Christian event.
Andy Ngo shared the Seattle Mayor’s full statement:
.@MayorofSeattle Bruce Harrell has released a statement written by @jamiehousen, his director of communication, condemning the Christians for holding a worship event at a public park in the city. The event was violently attacked by Antifa and Trantifa.

You can read the Mayor Harrell’s full statement here:
Seattle is proud of our reputation as a welcoming, inclusive city for LGBTQ+ communities, and we stand with our trans neighbors when they face bigotry and injustice. Today’s far-right rally was held here for this very reason – to provoke a reaction by promoting beliefs that are inherently opposed to our city’s values, in the heart of Seattle’s most prominent LGBTQ+ neighborhood.
When the humanity of trans people and those who have been historically marginalized is questioned, we triumph by demonstrating our values through our words and peaceful protest – we lose our voice when this is disrupted by violence, chaos, and confusion.
Anarchists infiltrated the counter-protestors group and inspired violence, prompting SPD to make arrests and ask organizers to shut down the event early, which they did.
While there are broad First Amendment requirements around permitting events under free speech protections, I am directing the Parks Department to review all of the circumstances of this application to understand whether there were legal location alternatives or other adjustments that could have been pursued. The Police Department will complete an after-action report of this event, including understanding preparation, crowd management tactics, and review of arrests and citations.
I am grateful for those who make their voices heard in support of our neighbors without resorting to violence. In the face of an extreme right-wing national effort to attack our trans and LGBTQ+ communities, Seattle will continue to stand unwavering in our embrace of diversity, love for our neighbors, and commitment to justice and fairness.
Absolutely deranged.
So the people without a permit and who engaged in violence don’t get investigated… The people who had a permit get investigated? How does this make any sense?

Pastor Russell Johnson is calling for Mayor Harrell to apologize for his twisted remarks.
He also shared a compilation video of the Christian concert interspersed with clips of the violent protestors clashing with the police:

The@MayorofSeattle owes Christians in WA State an apology for his bigoted remarks after folks who were holding a peaceful worship event at Cal Anderson Park were violently assaulted for the high crime of expressing their deeply held religious beliefs in the form of a permitted worship event on city property.23 antifa thugs were arrested. Cops were hospitalized. Church people were assaulted. And the @MayorofSeattle has the audacity to blame Christians for the violence. The City of Seattle is plagued by chronically inept political leadership and Mayor Harrell is no exception. Bruce Harrell’s administration is an embarrassment to the Emerald City. The Mayor’s niece (and former Deputy Mayor) publicly accused the Mayor of sexism and cultivating a toxic office culture in September of this year.Since Bruce took office, homicide is up 26% and rape is up 12%. Motor vehicle theft is up 38%. Drug deaths are up 89%.Bruce Harrell himself was arrested on weapons and assault charges prior to running for public office. He pulled a gun on a woman who was 8 months pregnant because he was upset she took his parking spot. The Mayor is on his third police chief since taking office. No one wants to work for him. His own family can’t stand him. And antifa gets a free pass from him.I guess pulling guns on pregnant women isn’t enough for Mayor Harrell. He’s now got to blame Christians for a city that he has let go to hell.
