Joe Rogan Has Been Consistently Attending Church, Biblical Scholar Reveals: “Things Are Happening”

Joe Rogan has apparently seen the light — and this time it wasn’t from taking strikes to the head during a jiu-jitsu training session.

(That’s apparently why he stopped fighting, and started announcing — but that’s a different story for a different time.)

It wasn’t that long ago that the most successful podcaster in history was a self-avowed atheist, hating on Christianity and the Bible left and right.

Apparently the frequent exposure to people with some spiritual depth has made a dent, not to mention the guaranteed working of the Holy Spirit!

Jesus did say that the Spirit would be at work convicting the entire world of three things:

  1. Their sin.
  2. His righteousness.
  3. Judgement to come.

I’d say “THE WORLD” includes Joe Rogan — so why NOT him!?

I know, I know — the majority of Biblical examples of people coming to faith are the lowly who were not “great” in their own right to begin with.

And I know Jesus gave several reasons why the rich and notable were not likely to find salvation by acknowledging Jesus as Lord in this life.

But I think those (true) concepts have sometimes been used to WRONGLY deny the possibility that the rich and notable CAN STILL BE REDEEMED!

Not only does it happen, it seems to be happening far more recently.  Not to say he’s a born-again believer… yet.  But this definitely bodes well compared to his starting point.

You can definitely tell over time that there has been a shift in his outlook and worldview.

Check out this clip showing that shift in Joe Rogan’s mindset spanning the last few years:

And check out THIS clip that shows Christian Apologist and Biblical manuscript scholar Wes Huff giving the scoop on Joe Rogan’s “consistent” church attendance.

Speaking of those with money and fame finding God…

It was shared just a few hours ago by none other than Russell Brand, who is a fairly recent SHOCKING (but I believe genuine!) convert:

Here’s the full screen version of that video for convenience:

Just take a moment to consider what we just saw.

That’s Russel-Freakin’-Brand… sharing a post that highlights outward signs of what SEEMS like Joe Rogan’s inner conviction regarding Jesus and the validity of the Bible as the accurate basis for informing a CORRECT worldview.

That is WILD — considering Joe Rogan once said that “everything is mythology” when describing the Bible, as was reported in the Western Journal in their coverage of this crazy news:

UFC announcer and podcast mogul Joe Rogan — easily one of the most influential people in the world currently — is apparently regularly attending church now.

At the very least, it’s clear a light went off in his head — and sometimes that’s all it takes.

This was notable because Rogan, long a self-professed atheist, has long denigrated and mocked the church.

“Everything is mythology,” he once argued, citing the lack of “evidence” as to why he found religion such a folly.

Fast forward to this Tuesday’s episode of “Know What You Believe with Michael Horton,” and Huff, a guest, revealed that Rogan’s brush with Christian theology had left a lasting impression.

For better or for worse, Joe Rogan has an outsized influence on countless young men in this country.

Yes, merely attending church does not make one Christian, but it’s an undeniably positive sign and a critical first step. And make no mistake, Rogan converting to Christianity would be a massive deal.

Check this little snippet I found while researching this story.

Is that… Joe Rogan… at a prayer service?  Special inaugural event or not, that’s a PRAYER SERVICE.

Atheists don’t generally show up to a PRAYER SERVICE, no matter what, just on PRINCIPLE.

But… there he is.

And Wes Huff is over hear CONFIRMING consistent church attendance, and that he’s been in fairly regular contact with Joe Rogan about those issues since his appearance on the podcast in January, according to a story in the Christian Post:

“I can tell you for a fact that he is attending a church and that that has been a consistent thing,” Huff, who is the Central Canada director for Apologetics Canada, said during a recent appearance on Sola Media’s podcast, “Know What You Believe with Michael Horton.”

Huff, who joined Rogan’s show, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” for a three-hour discussion about Christianity and the Bible in January, said, “Joe Rogan and I have had on-and-off communication since then. I can tell you for a fact that he is attending church and that has been a consistent thing.”

“And so, you know, things are happening,” he continued. “And he’s a very inquisitive individual, and I think for the better in that he’s communicating with me and other people in his life who are influences that can speak into, you know, these issues of reliability and trustworthiness and verisimilitude of something like the pages of Scripture, and where he should and shouldn’t be looking for the information in regards to that.”

Rogan, who has long used his platform to explore life’s big questions, recently expressed skepticism about the Big Bang theory and said he finds the resurrection of Jesus Christ more realistic than the belief that the universe created itself out of nothing.

During a May 7 conversation with comedy podcast host Cody Tucker, Rogan said he’s “sticking with Jesus” when it comes to miraculous claims.

“It’s funny, because people will be incredulous about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, but yet, they’re convinced that the entire universe was smaller than a head of a pin and that for no reason that anyone has adequately explained to me, instantaneously became everything? OK,” Rogan said.

“I’m sticking with Jesus on that one,” he added. “Jesus makes more sense. People have come back to life.”

I’m genuinely convinced that Joe Rogan is wrestling with real issues on a level that includes the innermost parts of his “heart” — and I mean that in the Biblical sense, not that he has heartburn from eating too much pizza.

Here’s a great reaction-video from the always polarizing (but entirely RELEVANT) Doug Wilson, talking about the news that Joe Rogan has turned from atheism and is turning TOWARDS God:

Doug Wilson’s take on the cultural timeline aspect of Joe Rogan’s interest in God is right on target with my own take on where we are right now.

And that would equate to those unexpected and surprising events of STRANGE PEOPLE coming to REAL FAITH!  (Just like in the 60’s and 70’s.)

As anything having to do with salvation, the proof is in the pudding.

And Biblical pudding amounts to FRUIT.

But the things people say, and do, matter.  Even the bud that will eventually turn in to FRUIT turns color and BLOOMS… leading up to the production of the fruit.

Are we seeing that happening right now in Joe Rogan’s life?

I’m in the “probably so!” camp.

What do you think — is this a legitimate turning to Christ and His Word?
