The bodies of three girls who went fishing in Nebraska have been found in the Missouri River.

In a public statement, the Omaha Fire Department announced that the bodies of three girls who went missing while fishing in the Missouri River have been found.

On April 15, Laiana Green, 18, Lah K Tray Moo, 18, and Eh Cress Moo,12, went missing while fishing, according to the National Park Service.

Weeks after their disappearance, a fisherman spotted their bodies floating in the Missouri River and notified authorities, who later recovered their bodies.

In a statement on Facebook, the Omaha Fire Department confirmed the bodies of three girls who went missing in the Missouri River two weeks ago have been found.

Eighteen-year-olds Laiana Green and Lah K Tray Moo and 12-year-old Eh Cress Moo vanished while fishing at NP Dodge Park on April 15. The family said a 13-year-old girl who was with them made it back to shore.

On Saturday, family confirmed crews recovered the body of Lah K Tray Moo.

In a statement Wednesday, the OFD confirmed crews recovered the bodies of Green and Eh Cress Moo on Tuesday.

“We extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of these girls,” the statement read. “The loss of these young lives has touched our entire community, and our hearts continue to be with you now and in the days ahead.”

The grandparents of Green said the efforts to find their granddaughter have been touching.

The bodies of three girls who went missing in the Missouri River have been recovered, Nebraska officials said Wednesday.

The three girls, identified by CBS affiliate KMTV as Lah Tray Moo, Lainana Green and Eh Cress Moo, went missing two weeks ago. Eh Cress Moo was Lah Tray Moo’s niece, KMTV reported.

The girls were reported missing on April 15, while fishing in the river, KMTV said.

The Omaha Fire Department said its special operations team had worked alongside local and state agencies, as well as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, to find and identify the girls. Boats, drones, sonar equipment and helicopters were used to search the area, KMTV reported. The search turned into a recovery mission on April 16, KMTV said.

The body of Lah Tray Moo was found over the weekend, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, which includes Omaha, said on social media. A fisherman spotted the remains, KMTV reported, and kept them from floating away until police arrived.
