Vance Takes On ‘Far-Left Democrats’ Upset Over Deportations: ‘We Do Not Ask Permission’

President Donald Trump’s second term has already been defined by firm stances and decisive action on multiple issues, including illegal immigration.

As authorities pursue deportation efforts against some of the most violent migrants living in the U.S. illegally, however, a number of voices on the left are expressing outrage over the Trump administration’s return to law and order.

For his part, Vice President JD Vance had a few choice words for those partisan naysayers.

As the Daily Wire reported of Vance’s recent “Fox & Friends” appearance:

Asking Vance to put his “lawyer hat” on, Jones said, “They’re pointing to one of these cases of a gentleman that they said should not have been deported to El Salvador. They said he was not connected to MS-13. What would you tell them about that case? Because they’re saying that this was a person that was a great member of society. You’ve looked at the court records. You’ve talked to the men and women on the ground, what can you tell us about that situation?”

“There have been a few cases out there where Democrats and the media say, ‘Oh, this person was just an innocent father of three,’ and then you find out, for example — I think this is the case that you’re talking about — back in 2019 an immigration judge looked at all the evidence, looked at all the data, and concluded that this allegedly innocent person that we sent to El Salvador was actually a member of an MS-13 gang,” Vance explained. “He had also committed some traffic violations, he had not shown up for some court dates. This is not exactly father of the year, here, this a person that we don’t think should be in our country.”

“We do not ask permission from far-Left Democrats before we deport illegal immigrants. We do the American people’s business,” Vance added.

Trump’s tough immigration policy has proven to be widely popular among the general American population:

Despite that public support, the Trump agenda is facing opposition on multiple fronts:

The vice president also countered the leftist hand-wringing over Trump’s trade policy, as Newsweek reported:

Asked what his reaction was to the stock market plunging, Vance told Newsmax: “We’re feeling good. Look, I frankly thought in some ways it could be worse in the markets because this is a big transition.”

He went on to reference Trump’s remarks from earlier in the day, in which the president said his tariffs were akin to performing an “operation” on a sick person. He also said markets would “boom” as a result of the tariff policy.

“You saw the president said earlier today: It’s like a patient who was very sick. We did the operation and now it’s time to make the patient better,” Vance told Newsmax. “And that’s exactly what we’re doing.”
