TESLA TERRORISM? Multiple Tesla Cars Set on Fire in Las Vegas, FBI Investigating

The FBI is investigating a targeted attack on Tesla vehicles at a Tesla Service Center in Las Vegas, NV.

Multiple Tesla cars were set on fire in a suspected arson attack, with at least five being severely damaged.

The assailant also shot a gun at various vehicles and spray-painted the word “RESIST” on the doors of the cars.

NBC News reported:

A suspect armed with a gun and Molotov cocktails launched a “targeted attack” against a Tesla location in Las Vegas early Tuesday, spray painting “resist,” firing three shots and torching multiple cars, authorities said.

Gunshots and flames erupted at the Tesla Collision Center, at 6260 Badura Ave., at 2:45 a.m. in the latest violent incident involving property associated with Elon Musk, the billionaire Tesla CEO and adviser to President Donald Trump.

“This was a targeted attack against a Tesla facility, ” LVMPD Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren told reporters. “We do believe that it is isolated at this time. We do not believe there is further threat to the general public.”

The suspect wore all black, and “used what appeared to be a Molotov cocktails and a firearm to conduct his attack,” Korean said.

“At least five Tesla vehicles were damaged to include two of which were engulfed in flames,” Koren continued.

Las Vegas Review-Journal added:

A suspect who police said set multiple Teslas on fire, used Molotov cocktails and shot three rounds into the vehicles at a Tesla Collision Center early Tuesday morning is still on the loose, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

The suspect, who police said was wearing all black, is accused of damaging at least five Teslas — two of which were engulfed in flames — at 2:45 a.m. The word “resist” was also painted on the door of the facility, police said. At least three gunshots were fired into the cars, police said.

The collision center is located in the 6000 block of West Badura Avenue.

“This was a targeted attack against a Tesla facility,” Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren said at a press briefing on Tuesday.

he incident is also being investigated by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force. Agents have been on the scene since early Tuesday morning, according to FBI Special Agent in Charge Spencer Evans.

Evans said that while it was too early to call the incident an act of terrorism, it had “some of the hallmarks” and a “potential political agenda.”

“Violent acts like this are unacceptable, regardless of where they occur,” Evans said at Tuesday’s press briefing.

He urged anyone intending to commit similar acts to “seriously reconsider.”

“It’s a federal crime,” Evans said. “We will come after you. We will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.”
