A McDonald’s in Brooklyn, New York, has begun carding customers at the door in an attempt to ban anyone under the age of 20 from entering without a parent or ID.

Social media posts show a McDonald’s sign at the Brooklyn location that reads, “No one under the age of 20 is allowed in this restaurant without a parent and proper identification.”

The policy is being enforced by private security at McDonald’s.

The new policy began after a group of teens wearing ski masks broke the glass door and attacked a security guard at the location.

A McDonald’s location in Brooklyn has started carding customers at the door and banning anyone under the age of 20 from entering without a parent or proper ID.

Posts on social media showed the sign on the front door, which reads: “No one under the age of 20 is allowed in this restaurant without a parent and proper identification.” A video posted to TikTok showed the “operation” underway.

The policy is being enforced by security guards and NYPD officers stationed outside the restaurant.

Some members of the community say they are frustrated by the new restriction, arguing tha teens need places to gather after school, but others support he policy, citing concerns over public safety.

The restaurant, which is located at Nostrand and Flatbush avenues, recently took the step after a group of kids wearing ski masks broke a glass door and attacked a security guard, according to manager Amber Hussainm, who spoke with the New York Post. She described it as a “crazy scene.”
