According to a new poll from Wall Street Journal, President Trump has just taken a huge lead in the long-held Democrat state of…Nevada!
Nevada has been a Democrat stronghold for two decades. The last time the state voted Republican was for George W. Bush in 2004.
In both 2016 and 2020, President Trump lost by just a hair…but the way it’s looking, that won’t be that case next month!
The latest poll has him leading Harris by 6%

Reno Gazette Journal reported on the details of the poll:
The polling average in Nevada has edged back toward Donald Trump thanks to a new poll conducted for the Wall Street Journal that shows the former president ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris by 6 points.
In the survey of 600 registered Nevada voters from Sept. 28 to Oct. 8, participants preferred Trump 49% to Harris’ 43%. Undecided voters made up 7%, and the margin of error is 4 percentage points.
Of the seven swing states surveyed in the poll, Nevada had the highest percentage of participants who “strongly disapprove” of President Joe Biden’s performance: 51%.
Nevada was also the state where the highest percentage of survey participants said they needed to learn more about Harris in order to have a firm opinion about her: 22%, compared to 12% in Wisconsin.
Harris has not yet visited Northern Nevada since becoming the Democrats’ choice for presidential candidate, although she’s held two rallies and a town hall in Las Vegas.
The Real Clear Politics average of multiple polls swung from a 1.2 point-lead for Harris last week to a 0.2-point lead for Trump on Friday. In Nevada polling history, Real Clear Politics showed Biden up by 6 points on Oct. 11, 2020 and Hillary Clinton up 1.3 points on Oct. 11, 2016.
Politico added:
A Wall Street Journal poll of seven swing states shows Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump still neck and neck with 25 days remaining until Election Day and early voting already underway in some states.
The poll, released Friday morning, shows Trump slightly ahead in Nevada, 47 percent to 42 percent. In the other six states, the race is essentially tied, with the two candidates separated by 2 points or less: Harris is ahead by 1 or 2 points in Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin and Georgia, while Trump holds 1-point edges in Pennsylvania and North Carolina.
ADVERTISEMENTThe poll’s margin of error for each state was plus or minus 5 percentage points. In each of the swing states, 600 registered voters were surveyed between Sept. 28 and Oct. 8, and the poll included third-party candidates in states where they will be on the ballot.
Across all the swing-state voters surveyed, Trump leads Harris 46 percent to 45 percent. Ninety-three percent of both Democrats and Republicans polled said they would vote for their party’s nominee. And independent voters were split evenly between the two, with 40 percent for Harris and 39 percent for Trump, further emphasizing the closeness of the race and its partisan divide.
