Pelosi Lashes Out At CNN Host For Airing Clip Of President Trump

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has long made her disdain for President Donald Trump clear.

Now that Trump is seeking a second term in the White House, Pelosi is apparently working overtime to prevent an honest discussion of his campaign.

According to the Daily Mail:

The hot-tempered response from the San Francisco Democrat came after CNN Host Jake Tapper asked her about recent comments by former President Donald Trump.

‘Donald Trump is saying that Kamala Harris has bigger cognitive problems than Joe Biden,’ Tapper began as he appeared poised to finish his question.

Then Pelosi abruptly cuts in: ‘Why would you even cover that?’

Wide-eyed, Pelosi looked incredulous at the words coming out of Tappers mouth.

She immediately continued her push back on his line of questioning.

‘This is a person who’s not on the level,’ she said. ‘He is their nominee for president.’

‘He is incompetent,’ she continued.

Pelosi also said that Trump’s suggestion that Harris has ‘cognitive problems’ is a sexist attack on women.  

‘Let’s not even talk about the silliness of it all and the weirdness of it all, and the assault on women that it is.’

Of course, Trump is hardly the only person pointing out evidence that Harris seems unfit for the job she’s seeking:

This wasn’t the first time Pelosi snapped at Tapper for asking an honest question.

As Fox News reported:

Tapper later defended himself for showing the clip of Trump.

“Let me just say, why do I run that clip? I run that clip because that‘s the Republican presidential nominee, and I thought you might have a reaction to it,” he said.

At the DNC in August, Tapper retreated after pushback from Pelosi for asking about tensions between her and Biden.

“[W]hy are we even talking about it?” Pelosi asked.

“They put it in my script and made me read it,” he replied, then joked, “They’re holding my cat hostage.”
