Princess Kate Makes First Public Appearance Since Completing Cancer Treatment

The Princess of Wales has made her first public appearance since she announced she completed her chemotherapy.

Princess Kate and her husband, Prince William, were seen attending church near their estate in Scotland.

On September 9, Kate announced she completed her chemotherapy after revealing she was diagnosed with cancer.

In her announcement, Kate revealed that she would participate in limited engagements until the end of the year.

Here’s what Yahoo News reported:

Kate, the Princess of Wales, made her first public appearance Sunday since she announced she had completed chemotherapy and would return to some public duties.

Kate and her husband, Prince William, were seen Sunday attending church with King Charles III and Queen Camilla near their royal Balmoral estate in Scotland.

Kate, 42, announced on Sept. 9 that she had completed treatment six months after revealing she had an undisclosed type of cancer. Her announcement came six weeks after Buckingham Palace announced that the king was being treated for cancer.

In a video announcing her progress, she said the path to full recovery would be long and she would take it day by day. She said she would undertake some limited engagements through the end of the year.

While she stepped away from most public duties during her treatment, Kate made two appearances earlier this year. First, during the king’s birthday parade in June, known as Trooping the Colour, and most recently during the men’s final at Wimbledon in July, where she received a standing ovation.

Kate Middleton has made her first public appearance since announcing the completion of her chemotherapy.

The Princess of Wales, 42, was spotted attending a service with her husband Prince William and other members of the royal family at Crathie Kirk Church near Balmoral Castle in Scotland on Sunday, Sept. 22.

Kate flashed a brief smile as she sat in the passenger seat of a car beside William, 42, who was driving the vehicle.

The princess wore a dark green wide-brimmed hat with feathers on the side and a brown tartan checked coat, while William wore a dark suit for the occasion. King Charles and Queen Camilla were also photographed making their way to the church in separate cars.

Her attendance at church marks Kate’s first appearance since announcing earlier this month that she finished her chemotherapy treatment, which she first revealed she was undergoing in March, at the same time as she shared her cancer diagnosis.
