MANHUNT UNDERWAY: Mass Shooting at Teenager’s B-Day Party, Multiple Deaths & Multiple Gunmen Reported


According to reports, multiple shooters opened fire during a teenager’s overnight birthday party in Birmingham, Alabama.  Dozens are reported injured in area hospitals with four people dead.  The shooting reportedly happened at a popular nighttime venue.

This is one of the videos coming out that was captured in the aftermath after Police responded.

According to local news site, AL.com a manhunt is currently underway with streets blocked off.  Local authorities have requested assistance from the FBI and ATF.

A massive manhunt was underway Sunday morning after a mass shooting late Saturday night in Birmingham’s bustling Five Points South entertainment area left four dead and at least 18 others injured.

Authorities said they don’t believe the shooting was random, but stemmed from an isolated incident where multiple innocent bystanders were caught in the crossfire.

“We have reached out to our partners with ATF, the FBI, you’ll have a plethora of law enforcement agencies assisting the Birmingham Police Department‚’’ Officer Truman Fitzgerald said.

That was Officer Truman Fitzgerald who was cited in the article reference above who was one of the investigating officers to respond to the incident.  According to Fox News, no suspects have been arrested and the search is underway for “multiple gunmen”:

Two men and a woman were killed at the scene in the 2000 block of Magnolia Avenue in the Five Points South area near the University of Alabama at Birmingham, while a fourth victim died at the university’s hospital, the Birmingham Police Department told Fox News Digital via email on Sunday morning.

Detectives believe multiple suspects fired upon a large group of people who were outside shortly after 11 p.m., police said.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue transported eight victims to the hospital. Police said the injuries among the wounded ranged from non-life-threatening to life-threatening.

Police said it is unclear who the suspected gunmen were targeting in the shooting. No suspects have been taken into custody.

Streets have been blocked off in the area as police continue to investigate.

Fitzgerald said police have reached out to the FBI and ATF for assistance.
