After facing a pair of ABC moderators eager to fact-check him while allowing his rival’s untruths to go unchallenged, President Donald Trump and his supporters voiced their displeasure with the seemingly blatant bias on display by the network.
During an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Gutfeld” on Wednesday, Trump acknowledged that he has one regret about how he handled that situation.
According to Fox News:
“I think my only regret is that I wanted to be elegant, and I didn’t want to go after the anchors. I wish I did, in a way,” Trump said during an appearance Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “Gutfeld!”
“I was very unfairly treated by the anchor. I’m not fans of those guys anymore – and his hair was better five years ago,” Trump quipped, referring to Muir, adding, “That happens with the clock.”
Critics railed against Muir and Davis for repeatedly fact-checking Trump during the debate while going easy on Vice President Kamala Harris.
“They didn’t correct her once, and they corrected me- everything I said, practically,” Trump said.
Plenty has been reported on social media regarding the apparent anti-Trump slant demonstrated by the debate moderators.
🚨BREAKING: CNN just called out ABC News for its one-sided debate moderation.
ABC News repeatedly grilled Trump with "fact checks" but gave Kamala a pass, allowing her to sidestep questions and avoid accountability.

Clear bias, which was expected, but it’s still gross

This clip may be the most egregious example of ABC debate moderators' direct actions/inactions to affect viewers’ perceptions of the information presented at the debate.
There are at least seven instances of this within a two-minute span.
This is not “bias."
It’s much worse.… pic.twitter.com/tYJhZwGwdW

The New York Post covered the debate’s negative impact on ABC’s ratings:
The verdict is in: ABC’s utterly biased “moderation” effort at the Trump-Harris debate is killing ratings.
David Muir, of “World News Tonight,” saw his program lose almost a million viewers per night after his in-kind campaign contribution to VP Kamala Harris — a 12% drop.
No surprise: Muir and co-conspirator Linsey Davis gave a debate-night masterclass in partisan hackery, devoting their “fact checks” entirely to Trump and letting Harris slide repeatedly on glaring falsehoods.
Heck, Muir and Davis were so in the tank for Harris that their own network even called them out post-debate for giving zero pushback on her insane claim that no US troops on active duty are in combat zones around the world.
