JD Vance Confronts CNN Anchor For Spewing ‘Basic Propaganda’ About Springfield Migrant Crisis

Since President Donald Trump selected JD Vance to serve as his running mate, the U.S. senator from Ohio has proven to be a skilled rival for media figures with a partisan ax to grind.

Most recently, he sat down for an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash and didn’t hesitate to call out what he saw as blatant political shilling.

According to the Daily Caller:

“You’ve heard a lot of the media focusing on every possible distraction from the story in Springfield. You’ve heard them focus on these Proud Boys marches — just in this interview, Dana, the suggestion that because some psychopath is calling in a bomb threat, somehow we have to then ignore 40,000 Springfieldians who are having their lives worsened by Kamala Harris’ policies?” Vance questioned.

“I’d actually love to have this conversation right now live on-air. What is the implication when you say you calling out these problems has caused a bomb threat,” Vance continued. “You accused me of causing a bomb threat — doesn’t that mean you should shut up about the residents of Springfield? Don’t you realize you’re engaged in basic propaganda to silence the concerns of American citizens?”

The Haitian invasion of Springfield, Ohio, has been the subject of significant social media discussion in recent days:

As Fox News reported, Vance also took on Kamala Harris and the media for downplaying or ignoring the situation in Springfield:

Residents at city council meetings have alleged that Haitians are killing and eating ducks and geese in parks, as well as pet cats and dogs, unverified allegations that Vance has referenced on social media and former President Trump repeated during the Philadelphia presidential debate last week.

“I trust my constituents more than I do the American media that has shown no interest in what’s happened in Springfield until we started sharing cat memes on the Internet, which is disgraceful that the American media ignored this town,” Vance told NBC “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker. “And that’s the most important part, Kamala Harris’ open border, Kristen, has led to skyrocketing housing costs in Springfield, rising rates of crime, rising rates of communicable diseases. They have dropped 20,000 immigrants into a town of 40,000, and it’s caused a host of social problems.”
