JUST IN: In the continued rush of past Republican White House administration officials clambering to be the latest to throw their hat in the ring for Kamala Harris — or I should more precisely say, AGAINST PRESIDENT TRUMP — Alberto Gonzales has now joined their ranks. But in my mind, that is only half the story.

Let me just point out that BOTH MEN standing behind G.W. Bush in that picture… have come out swinging for Kamala Harris, and viciously against President Trump. And while we’ve seen an enormous flow of former democrats coming out for President Trump and abandoning the democrat party altogether, this is different. Like Cheney, and now Gonzales, the republicans who are coming out against President Trump and for Kamala are NOT OPENLY DEFECTING AGAINST THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. And I believe the friction between those two important distinctions is where we find an important truth.
Check out this clip of the former Attorney General on CNN trying to explain (should read: trying to sell) his position to the American voter:
In case you needed another reason to vote for President Trump, former Bush AG Alberto Gonzales just endorsed Kamala Harris 🤣
The entire war criminal DC Establishment is uniting against Trump.

In a nutshell, President Trump is a danger to the nation, and Kamala Harris will be good for the country. I don’t believe that, and I don’t for one second think Alberto Gonzales actually believes that. So… why is he taking this stance? Why is he willing to say things that are completely untrue (lies) and espouse a position with the intention of putting Kamala Harris in the White House as opposed to President Trump?
I believe we are seeing the true leaders, I would go so far as to say CONSPIRATORS, of the Deep State… exposing themselves like never before for fear of President Trump — and the reckoning that he will unleash on the evils being perpetrated against the American people.
G.W. Bush’s former Attorney General celebrated his announcement with an op-ed piece published in Politico today. Let me remind you that it was Alberto Gonzales who provided the legal arguments which gave covering to the CIA’s green light on torture, as well as the so-called “Patriot Act” which allows (to this day) wholesale spying on American citizens without a warrant — all in the name of safety and security, of course.
On that note, let me share with you how Gonzales began his Politico coming-out piece:
I am the only lawyer in American history to serve both as White House counsel and as attorney general. So, while that does not make me special, it does give me a rather unique perspective about presidential decision-making and the necessity of electing a president who respects the rule of law to safeguard our liberties and way of life. (emphasis added.)
Tell me you think you’re special and that we should all follow your unique expertise… while telling me you’re absolutely not saying that at all.
And please tell me I’m not the only one who caught that elite-level hypocritical arrogance? The legal mind behind enhanced interrogation techniques (not excluding U.S. citizens, I might add), and the 20+ year surveillance of American citizens is lecturing the rest of us about respecting “the rule of law” and safeguarding our liberties. And (if that weren’t bad enough on it’s own), he wants us to believe a vote for Kamala does those things, and a vote for President Trump will doom the Republic?
What are these people smoking that makes them think the rest of us are blind enough to accept their complete BS when they tell us 1 + 1 does not equal 2? But I want to take you back to this time last year, to a conversation between Jen Psaki and the former Attorney General on MSNBC:
Former President Bush AG Alberto Gonzales on Donald Trump:
“If in fact he’s convicted of the crimes charged by Jack Smith…yeah, I think he should serve time.” #NoOneIsAboveTheLaw

Now we know, this was not a sudden change on the part of Alberto Gonzales. He has openly sided with those who have colluded behind a false narrative to have President Trump thrown into prison. And personally, I don’t think his allegiance is so much with Kamala, as it is with Cheney in particular. (That might require a future story of it’s own…)
For me, that video corroborates the dots I’m connecting as I watch this drama unfold; this pre-arranged, orchestrated drama. Simply that the “powers that be” are bringing absolutely everything to bear against the biggest threat to their ability to hold on to power that they’ve ever come up against: a Presidency they don’t control, CAN’T control, with the popular backing of a large majority of American’s to throw off the shackles that are getting tighter and tighter under the current regime.
For some overview and a look at Gonzales’ own words, here is the current reporting from Fox News on this story:
“As the United States approaches a critical election, I can’t sit quietly as Donald Trump — perhaps the most serious threat to the rule of law in a generation — eyes a return to the White House. For that reason, though I’m a Republican, I’ve decided to support Kamala Harris for president,” Gonzales wrote. “Power is intoxicating and based on Trump’s rhetoric and conduct it appears unlikely that he would respect the power of the presidency in all instances; rather, he would abuse it for personal and political gain, and not on behalf of the American people.”
Gonzales took issue with the Supreme Court’s 6-3 ruling in Trump v. United States that a former president has substantial immunity from prosecution for official – but not unofficial – acts committed while in office.
“The character of the person we elect in November is particularly important today because the current members of the House of Representatives and the Senate have proven spectacularly incapable or unwilling to check abuses of executive power,” he wrote. “While the U.S. Supreme Court is certainly capable of curbing presidential power, the court has recently ruled that certain restraints on presidential acts would be unconstitutional.”
His argument reads like an attack playbook right out of the Kamala-Walz campaign.
- President Trump is “…the most serious threat to the rule of law…”
- President Trump will abuse the power of the presidency for personal and political gain.
- Congress has failed in using their power to sideline President Trump.
- The Supreme Court has failed in it’s duty to sideline President Trump.
The only thing “legal” about Alberto Gonzales’ arguments is that he’s a lawyer. The content of his arguments are wholly AGENDA-DRIVEN. And that agenda has one singular motivation — stop President Trump at all cost.
But, as you may expect, he is all too prepared to have us give Kamala Harris the benefit of the doubt. That is how he would describe it. I would describe it as urging us to assume she won’t continue to do what she’s already done or even worse, in alignment with the few statements she’s actually made (prior to resorting to slapping her name on President Trump’s most popular policies). From the same Fox News story, here’s what Gonzales had to say about Kamala:
“We do not yet know exactly how Harris will govern if she is elected,” he wrote. “Casting a vote for Harris will require the American people to place their faith in her character and judgment. Some may see her as too progressive and worry she would be too easily manipulated. There is little mystery or doubt, however, about how Trump will act and govern based on past behavior and comments. He will help those who help him and his family for personal or financial reasons. He will likely pull back from our leadership role among other democracies in the fight against authoritarianism.”
“Harris, meanwhile, has sworn fidelity to the rule of law as a former local prosecutor and state attorney general,” Gonzales wrote.
Synopsis? President Trump is bad, and you can’t trust him, but Kamala Harris is probably going to be great in spite of her rhetoric and past behavior, and we should just give her a chance.
I’m sorry, but I don’t believe you attain to the positions Alberto Gonzales (Or Dick Cheney, etc) have attained by being that dumb. I do believe you can, and they have, attained those positions by oiling the system when “The System” requires you to do so; as in, right now.
I mentioned earlier how Gonzales was the primary legal mind behind a lot of the injustices snuck in under the fear of the Post-9/11 era, like the Patriot Act. Here is Newsweek with a little detail on that:
One of the most controversial documents was the August 1, 2002 memo, often referred to as the Bybee Memo (written by OLC’s Jay Bybee, with significant input from another top Bush official, John Yoo). It argued that torture was defined in extremely narrow terms and that certain interrogation techniques that might otherwise be considered torture could be legally justified.
Gonzales was also involved in the Bush administration’s domestic surveillance program that became highly controversial during his tenure as White House Counsel and later as attorney general. He was a fierce defender of the USA PATRIOT ACT signed into law after 9/11, which was criticized for being used to spy on U.S. citizens without a warrant.
Gonzales, acting as Bush’s top White House lawyer, signed an infamous memo in 2002 arguing that the Geneva Conventions did not apply to either al-Qaeda or Taliban detainees, and that those rules were “quaint” and “obsolete” in dealing with the War on Terror.
“In my judgment, this new paradigm renders obsolete Geneva’s strict limitations on questioning of enemy prisoners and renders quaint some of its provisions requiring that captured enemy be afforded such things as commissary privileges, scrip (i.e., advances of monthly pay), athletic uniforms, and scientific instruments,” the memo said.
The Washington Post later reported that the memo, which had Gonzales’ name signed to it, was drafted by Cheney’s lawyer, David Addington. (emphasis added.)
So, on one hand, the story is that G.W. Bush’s former Attorney General has come out swinging against President Trump, and is voting for Kamala Harris — and wants the rest of us to know it, and follow suite.
But I think there are those with “eyes to see” who can recognize the more important story. And that is one where the enforcers of the CURRENT “world order” are desperately coming out of the woodwork to guarantee a smooth transition to the NEXT “world order”, which can only happen if we maintain the status quo just a bit longer.
And from their vantage point, that means President Trump can not be allowed to become the next President of the United States. That is why the democrat defections, revolting against the party as a whole, make sense. That is why the republican defections, seemingly maintaining party loyalty (having us believe they still represent conservative values) while attacking President Trump USING progressive talking points… does not make sense, unless you recognize it for what it is.
This is no longer a struggle between Republicans and Democrats, or even conservatives and liberals. We are seeing the very fabric of our Republic begin to fray, exposing the cancerous growth of the Deep State and the Globalists which have overtaken basically every institution and system in America, right under our noses.
And we are seeing all of it hinge on a single election, unlike any election in America’s history, from the founding until now. Buckle up, and keep your eyes open. Both sides are operating under “no fail” conditions. And the craziness of the last few months is only likely to increase as each day brings us closer to possibly the most pivotal election in world history.
