With many of us fixated on President Trump’s campaign and the policy flip-flops of Kamala Harris, a terror attack was apparently thwarted a few days ago that could have changed the campaign landscape significantly, and potentially sent the United States into a tailspin — had it been successful.
Just 12 miles from the northern border (yes… that border…) a Pakistani man who had been living in Canada was stopped and arrested as he was preparing to cross into the United States, apparently attempting to evade surveillance using multiple vehicle changes.
He allegedly had big plans, and wanted to target one group in particular. It probably isn’t hard to guess which group that is, with the rising tide of antisemitism growing in America and across the globe (just as the Bible foretold). According to Fox News, here are some of the statements this alleged terrorist is reported to have made to undercover agents while in the planning stages of the attack that was just thwarted:
“Oct 7th and oct 11th are the best days for targeting the jews” because “oct 7 they will surely have some protests and oct 11 is yom.kippur,” Khan allegedly told the officers.
“New york is perfect to target jews” since it has the “largest Jewish population In america” and therefore, “even if we dont attack a[n] Event[,] we could rack up easily a lot of jews,” Khan allegedly said, adding, “we are going to nyc to slaughter them.”
He added in one communication: “if we succeed with our plan this would be the largest Attack on US soil since 9/11.” (emphasis added…)
The mindset of this alleged terrorist is hard to miss. It’s bad enough that he wants to target a civilian population, but he is reveling in the slaughter he is reported to have planned. Check out this clip put out by the FBI in New York describing a little of what happened, specifically the Joint Terror Task Force Special Agent in Charge Rob Kissane:

The National Security Division of the U.S. Department of Justice put out this Press Release announcing the arrest:
Pakistani National Charged for Plotting Terrorist Attack in New York City in Support of ISIS

For more detail check out this report from Fox News:
An alleged would-be terrorist was arrested in Canada on Wednesday, accused of plotting a mass shooting at a Jewish center in New York City in support of ISIS.
Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, 20, a Pakistani national who lives in Canada and also goes by the name Shahzeb Jadoon, has been charged with attempting to provide material support and resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization. He could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
“The defendant was allegedly determined to kill Jewish people here in the United States, nearly one year after Hamas’s horrific attack on Israel,” FBI Director Christopher Wray said. ” This investigation was led by the FBI and I am proud of the terrific work by the FBI team and our partners to disrupt Khan’s plan.”
Khan was arrested by Royal Canadian Mounted Police on a material support of terrorism warrant issued out of the Southern District of New York.
From the information being released by officials, the alleged plot was primarily intended to accomplish two things:
- Kill as many U.S. Jews as possible.
- Pull off the “largest attack on U.S. soil since 9/11”
And here’s more of the story from the Fox News article I referenced earlier:
Khan had used encrypted messaging apps to plan the attack in Brooklyn since last November, including distributing pro-ISIS propaganda and videos and literature, the Department of Justice said in a news release.
ADVERTISEMENTHe soon unknowingly began communicating with two undercover officers, telling them that he and an associate in the U.S. wanted to create “a real offline cell” of ISIS supporters to carry out a “coordinated assault” using AR-style assault rifles, and that they planned to “target Israeli Jewish chabads . . . scattered all around” an unnamed city other than New York.
He allegedly told the undercover officers to stock up on AR-style guns, ammunition and other supplies for the attack on the city, naming the specific locations where the shootings would happen.
He later told the officers to also get “some good hunting [knives] so we can slit their throats.”
So, do you remember the Moscow terror attacks from just a few months ago? That is what we would have been facing here. In fact, the suspect allegedly communicated to the undercover FBI agents that he wanted to plan an indoor attack — which is exactly what allowed the Moscow attacks to go unchecked as long as they did before the authorities were able to stop the bloodshed.
And did you catch the date mentioned by the Special Agent in Charge in the video at the beginning? Apparently, October 7th was to be the date of the attack, to coincide with the one year anniversary of Hamas attacking Israeli cities last year.
Just imagine for a moment, with the entire world as ON EDGE as it is (much less the powder keg just in our own country) — can you imagine what the aftermath of such an attack could have looked like?
This is the sort of thing that can easily lead to war, even if there is no direct evidence of a state-sponsored link. Just the emotional outcry from a nation’s population can easily send politicians chasing the votes, ready to launch another war because of some connection — real, or imagined.
Not to mention… nothing brings a failing economy back to life like war! I hate to sound like war would be the forgone conclusion if such a large attack were carried out, but… it wouldn’t be the first time. There is definitely a pattern.
I don’t usually like to highlight mainstream media in general, much less those like ABC News, but here’s a short clip that actually has some good reporting on this incident:

The alleged terrorist was so detailed in his planning that he reportedly told the undercover agents to buy this specific headband to wear on the day of the attack:
According to reports, he was stopped by Canadian authorities just 12 miles from the U.S. border. That he was even allowed to get that close is mind-boggling to me, knowing how often guys like this are on the FBI’s radar one day, only to drop off the next without a trace.
CBS has a little more on that:
The Justice Department said Khan discussed plans to pay a human smuggler to help him illegally enter the U.S. from Canada, and on Wednesday, he allegedly used three separate cars to travel across Canada towards the U.S.
He was stopped by law enforcement and arrested about 12 miles from the U.S.-Canada border, authorities said.
It is easy to hear that account, ending with his arrest, and assume that he was behaving in a way that was just asking to get arrested. But that’s not really the case, from what it sounds like to me. Had he not already been on the FBI’s radar, I don’t think they would have caught him.
The technique of using multiple vehicles as he made his way to the border — that’s not as silly as it may sound in hindsight, knowing he was ultimately arrested. That is actually highly effective tradecraft used by highly effective field agents all the time.
That tells me this guy was either fairly sharp… or coached. Or, both? Those are scary things to consider about a guy who allegedly wanted to pull off the largest terror attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.
According to Global News, this is the timeline leading up to his arrest:
Two months ago, he began discussing a “coordinated assault” targeting Jewish community buildings. The plot involved “mass shootings at or around Jewish religious centers and public gathering places,” the FBI said.
“Khan also provided details about how he would cross the border from Canada into the United States to conduct the attacks,” the Justice Department said.
On Wednesday, police followed him as he left Toronto at 5:40 a.m. with an unidentified passenger and went by car to Napanee, Ont.
They switched vehicles and made their way to Montreal, where they again changed vehicles before heading towards the border. The arrest took place at 2:54 p.m.
A witness wrote on Twitter that an RCMP tactical team in Ormstown, Que. had used a stun grenade to arrest a man in a minivan with Ontario licence plates.
The almost mundane details about how this man allegedly went about his day, which was intended to culminate in a very large terror attack in New York City, coupled with his alleged connection to ISIS — that doesn’t merely make the plot thicken, it makes the plot really, really scary.
Here’s the CBC out of Canada with a little insight into that connection:
Michel Juneau-Katsuya, former senior manager and senior intelligence officer for the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, told CBC News he wasn’t surprised by news of the arrest.
“People might believe that with the success we had against Daesh or ISIS in the Middle East that we would have got rid of them. But it’s on the contrary,” he said.
“If I may use the analogy, it’s a little bit like using a big baseball bat and hitting a wasp’s nest. You killed the nest, you kill a lot of wasps, but now the big bat doesn’t help you with the flying wasps around you,” he added.
“ISIS has not lost its ability to recruit online. They are capable to sort of foster recruitment, radicalization. And people turn into extremists in the privacy of their home, and when they manifest themselves, it’s usually just before they go into action.”
Does it seem like election year equals active shooter year? It never seems to fail that as presidential elections get closer, there are more shootings and would-be terror attacks. Some are thwarted just in the nick of time, some are not.
But the pattern is there. And it’s hard at this point not to see it, once you do see it.
Does that mean all of this is orchestrated; a true conspiracy from shadowy figures in the government (or transcending national governance) to continually create an atmosphere of uncertainty and fear among the voting public?
Some people would easily dismiss those notions as wild fantasy. And maybe they are. But I know this — I do not trust the financial backers and true power brokers in this country NOT to create situations for those purposes.
So, which is it? Frankly, I don’t know. And we might never know. But I would suggest that we MIGHT know — if a certain President Trump makes it back into the White House at the end of this election, and is able to root out the true murkiness of this swap —
And DRAIN it once and for all.
And who knows? If that happens, not only might we do away with the shadowy “what-ifs” that haunt us with every breaking news story, simply because most of us do not trust our government. But maybe we could actually see some JUSTICE for those who have been pulling the strings all along, to the detriment of our nation, and to the enrichment of their own pocketbooks.
Maybe. Come November… we shall see.
