AOC Takes Swipe At Former Presidential Candidate, Gets Humiliated In Video Response

In true AOC style, the far left New York Representative took a swipe online at the Green Party’s Jill Stein — and in true democrat style of late, the results haven’t been exactly positive; quite the opposite.  You might say this is almost identical to Kamala Harris opening her mouth, and losing votes every time she does.

Y’all, this is a little spicy, but I have thoughts.”  That’s how AOC started the online rant that kicked off all the drama. For a quick primer on how this squabble got started, here’s USA Today‘s current reporting on the dust up:

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein is hitting back after New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said her campaign, which has attacked Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for not being far left enough, “reads as predatory.”

Ocasio-Cortez, also known as AOC, has frequently questioned and criticized the country’s two-party system but said that Stein’s multiple attempts at the White House are “not serious.” She goes on to blast Stein’s “bad leadership,” blaming her for the small number of Green Party candidates elected to local and state offices since she first became the party’s presidential nominee 12 years ago.

Here’s the first video — watch this!

So here’s the gist of what she hit Jill Stein with in her Instagram video:

“If you run for years and years and years and years and years in a row, and your party has not grown, has not added city council seats, down ballot seats and state electives, that’s bad leadership. And that to me is what’s upsetting — because if you have been your party’s nominee for 12 years in a row, 4 years ago, 4 years before that, and 4 years before that, and you cannot grow your movement, pretty much at all, and can’t peruse any successful strategy…and all you do is show up once every four years to speak to people who are justifiably pissed off, but you’re just showing up once every four years to do that, you’re not serious. To me, it does not read as authentic, it reads as predatory. I’m sorry, I’m just saying it.”

Now, just incase you’re not that familiar with Jill Stein of the Green Party, here’s USA Today to bring you up to speed:

The Green Party selected Stein as its presidential nominee in 2012, 2016, and 2024, opting for activist Howie Hawkins in 2020. Stein also ran unsuccessful third-party campaigns to become Massachusetts’s governor in 2002 and 2010.

Before entering politics, Stein worked as a physician and professor at Harvard Medical School. She became an environmental health activist after noticing pollution was negatively affecting some of her patients.

Like AOC, she labels Palestinians as victims of “a genocide” and is an outspoken critic of American support for Israel’s war on Gaza. In April, she was arrested while participating in an anti-war demonstration at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

If it’s not obvious, let me spell it out.  Jill Stein is arguably more left-wing Progressive than AOC on many issues.  So we have a classic blue on blue (green on green???) attack going on here.  In fact, that’s one of the issues Jill Stein brings up in her response — AOC’s “Green New Deal” was not originally hers; it was the Green Party’s!

Surprise, surprise.  The Democrats don’t just steal policy from Republicans, they’ll rip off policy from fellow progressives, too!  But I’ll let Jill Stein speaker for herself:

First, you know your position is on shaky ground when those who generally share your progressive views have so many good points to make against you.

Secondly, I really like that Stein added in her intro, “…this is a little spicy, but I had thoughts…” Still classy, but definitely

Stein really brought her talking points and a bag of chips, too.  And every single accusation that AOC leveled against her… Stein threw each one right back at her.

And then she points out the ANTI-DEMOCRATIC methods the Democrats use against their political enemies!  How funny that the Green Party has the same case to level against the Democrats as the Republicans — and not just the questionable legal tactics, but the policy theft as well!

We’ll get to that, but I really want to give you a taste of some of the blowback AOC and the democrats in general are getting because of AOC’s attack stance:

Did you catch that?  “As long as the Democratic Party is openly rigging the election against third party candidates, no third party voter should feel a modicum of responsibility to vote for Democrats to “save democracy.”

It doesn’t seem like the democrats’ methods are going unnoticed or undealt with, even by fellow liberals.  Check out this response!

“I have been debating who I will vote for in November because there are three Left candidates on my ballot.

But, after today, I think I will vote for #JillStein Stein and dedicate it to @AOC
who plagiarized the Green New Deal from the #GreenParty 😁”

Wait – what???  Yep, you heard that right.  AOC’s pet policy, the “Green New Deal”… wasn’t even hers.  It was put out by the Green Party in 2010!

You know how, when someone has done you wrong and you’ve had a while to think, you kinda get that second wind… and you want another go at saying your peace?  Here’s Jill Stein’s second come-back video.  And THIS one came with a challenge!

First, that challenge to a live debate is hard to beat!  Jill Stein flat out challenged AOC to a LIVE DEBATE!  I would literally pay money to watch that TKO happen in real time.

But can we just admit the elephant in the room exists???  You don’t have to be a Republican, you don’t even have to be a supporter of President Trump… to recognize that the Democratic party is the “big money machine” party!

And to go out on that limb even farther, while I don’t agree with Jill Stein’s worldview or policies, I do “get” her approach to being an ALTERNATIVE to a broken party!

EVEN THE FAR LEFT GREEN PARTY RECOGNIZES THAT THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS A CORRUPT, CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE!  Can we just take a moment to recognize that amazing fact?

As Newsweek points the following from Stein’s second response video, keep in mind what we have seen lately with the Democrats attempting to interfere with votes on the state level:

She wrote in a second post, “Democrats sue to kick us off ballots, hire operatives to infiltrate and sabotage us, lock us out of debates, fight ranked-choice voting, then act concerned that Greens have only won 1400 elections. So which party is authentic, and which is predatory?”

Is that not exactly what democrats have been doing (first successfully, and now widely unsuccessfully as judges and appeals courts weigh in) to RFK Jr, and even other independent third party candidates?  Cornel West has been at the receiving end of this democrat skullduggery just as much as Republicans.  Election interference might as well be officially written in as part of the Democratic platform!

One thing is certain, AOC isn’t going to win her party any votes by coming out swinging against the MORE LIBERAL PARTY — a party that distinguishes itself from the democrats primarily on the basis that it is not willing to “go along to get along” according to the established system.

Agree with her policies or not (I do not), Jill Stein has made it her mission to provide an alternative to exactly the sort of pressure that AOC came at her with.  Jill Stein sees the Democratic Party as broken beyond fixing; a machine that must be fed purely for the sake of the machine, and not for what it could potentially achieve if you keep feeding it.  And so, she has reasoned, stop feeding it!

That is exactly the same reason there are growing numbers of “former” democrats ready to jump ship and support conservative answers to the nation’s problems; and democrats like AOC are simply making the choice easier by the day as they squirm uncomfortably on social media videos, trying desperately to cling to the power they “think” they hold, desperately trying to cajole everyone into supporting the Party, as if it is still possible to do so and remain sane.

Because even as Jill Stein of the Green Party knows… it is not.
