THE BOYCOTT CONTINUES: Harley Davidson Shunned at Sturgis Motorcycle Rally


To those that don’t know, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is a motorcycle rally held annually in Sturgis, South Dakota.

This year it began last Friday, Aug 2, 2024. And it’s ends Sunday, the 11th.

And it’s not looking good for Harley Davidson.

You see, there’s been a growing backlash against the once embraced American brand.

The public is tired of ‘wokeness’ (also known as Cultural Marxism) been pushed on them by big corporations.

So whenever the slightest hint appears that a company has chosen that path, it’s met with resistance.

Apparently, Harley Davidson shrugged their shoulders and decided to take a chance with it.

Enter Robby Starbuck.

He’s the self-proclaimed corporate grim reaper.

He was responsible for exposing DEI over at Tractor Supply and John Deere.

And now he’s exposing the dirt on Harley Davidson.

Harley-Davidson is facing biker backlash over fears that the American motorcycle manufacturer born with the renegade image is now identifying as woke.

“@harleydavidson has been one of the most beloved brands in America but recently on CEO Jochen Zeitz’s watch, they’ve gone totally woke,” filmmaker Robby Starbuck shared with his more than 528,000 followers on X in late July.

The bike brand’s apparent decision to volunteer for the culture wars in America has been a high-octane topic at the 84th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota this week, according to both attendees and numerous social media postings.

“It’s branding suicide,” Vinny Terranova, the owner of Pappy’s Vintage Cycles in Sturgis, South Dakota, told Fox News Digital on Tuesday.

“A lot of bikers are switching over to Indian,” he said. “They killed Harley. It breaks my heart.”

The situation has drawn comparisons to the Bud Light “unforced error” of 2023 in the wake of the beer brand’s decision to partner with Dylan Mulvaney, a social media influencer and trans activist.

Joe Six Packs launched an organic nationwide boycott against America’s then most-popular beer brand in response. Bud Light has not recovered.

‘Not a good look’

Harley riders have been concerned about the direction of the company since the German-born Zeitz took over as CEO at the height of the COVID pandemic in May 2020, say motorcycle enthusiasts.

“A Harley valued at $30,000 just a few years ago is now getting only $4,000,” said Terranova.

• HD funded an all ages pride event that featured a “rage room” next to drag queen story time.

• 1,800 employees had to do virtual training on how to become LGBTQ+ allies.

• Founding Member of Wisconsin’s LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce — This chamber opposed a law that would’ve banned sex changes for kids in Wisconsin on behalf of the businesses they represent, including HD.

• Sponsored LGBTQ+ Entrepreneur Bootcamp.

• The woke CEO Jochen Zeitz signed the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion Pledge.

• Made February and March “Months of Inclusion” because apparently Pride Month isn’t enough.

• Multiple woke United Way trainings.

• Donated millions to United Way who made the “United For Equity” program where they promote Ibram Kendi, the woke children’s book “Anti-Racist Baby”, “Awake to Woke to Work”, a podcast on the concept of “Whiteness”, woke activist Robin DiAngelo, bigotry against Christians who supposedly have “Christian Privilege” and more.

• Sent some White Male employees to a White Male ONLY woke diversity training program.

• HD is openly working to have less White suppliers, dealers and employees.

• HD partners with the yearly “Pride Ride”.

• HD supports the Pennsylvania Youth Congress who helped create Gender Neutral licenses in Pittsburgh.

• Partnered with the far left HRC group to support LGBTQ+ causes.

• Hosted LGBTQ+ events at the corporate office.

• HD celebrated their legal dept taking a woke 21 day racial equity and literacy challenge which included speeches like “Black Panthers, White Lies”, a BLM speech and Ta-Nehisi Coates “Case for Reparations”.

• LGBTQ+ & race based identity ERG groups at HD.

• A total commitment to DEI policies.

• 90/100 CEI score from the HRC.

 The iconic motorcycle maker Harley-Davidson is the latest all-American brand to get slammed by conservatives over its ‘inclusion’ policies, including supporting Pride events for children.

The $6 billion-a-year firm known for its macho and rebellious image faces a backlash after campaigners exposed its diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts and urged riders to steer clear.

Robby Starbuck, an online influencer, posted about Harley-Davidson’s support for hard-line policies about trans care for kids, critical race theory and sidelining white people in business.

The outrage echoes similar backlashes against John Deere, a tractor maker, and Bud Light, over a tie-up with a trans influencer that cost the beer-maker millions in lost sales.
