Here’s another strange story for you this Thursday evening.
In Vermont, a Republican state representative was caught on camera repeatedly pouring glasses water into her Democrat colleague’s bag several times over the course of months.
Apparently, Rep. Mary Ann Morrissey had it out for Rep. Jim Carroll for some reason, and thought she’d settle their beef by water-logging his bag when she thought nobody was looking.
Now, we can’t say what that beef was, or what exactly her reasoning was for pouring the water in Carroll’s bag.
We can only speculate.
It’s honestly very weird…
Just watch the clip here for yourself and let us know why you think she did it:

After her actions were revealed through hidden recordings, Rep. Morrissey apologized for her “unbecoming” actions.
USA Today said:
A Republican legislator issued an apology to her Democratic colleague in front of the Vermont House of Representatives after a hidden camera caught her pouring glasses of water into his bag on several occasions over five months.
Rep. Mary Ann Morrissey, who has served Bennington, Vermont since 1997, directed her apology to Rep. Jim Carroll, who also represents Bennington, during a recorded House veto session on Monday.
“I am truly ashamed for my actions,” Morrissey said aloud. “I have given my sincere apology to Jim directly and publicly and will be working towards resolution and restoration through our legislative process. It was conduct most unbecoming of my position as a representative and as a human being and is not reflective of my 28 years of service and civility.”
Videos of Morrissey were first obtained by Seven Days through a public records request and show the lawmaker on March 23 and March 26 quickly pouring water into Carroll’s bag after he walked off.
“For five months, I went through this,” Carroll said during the meeting after Morrissey’s apology. “… It was torment, there’s no doubt about it.”
It is unclear why Morrissey poured the water into Carroll’s bag.
The Washington Examiner added:
A Vermont state lawmaker apologized Monday for secretly pouring water into a Democratic colleague’s bag for months, according to a report.
Vermont Republican Rep. Mary Morrissey had been surreptitiously pouring water into the bag of fellow Democratic state Rep. Jim Carroll for months until she was caught on camera, according to the Guardian.
“I am truly ashamed of my actions,” Morrissey said during a state house veto session Monday, according to Boston.com. “It was conduct most unbecoming of my position as a representative and as a human being and is not reflective of my 28 years of service and civility.”
Morrissey described her behavior as “disrespectful” and apologized to Carroll privately, according to the report. She said she would be “working toward resolution and restoration through our legislative process.”
Carroll, apparently discovering over the last few months that his bag was wet, said, “For five months, I went through this.”
