ELECTION INTERFERENCE? Steve Bannon Ordered To Prison, Here’s When He Will Go Behind Bars

Former Trump adviser and host of the War Room, Steve Bannon, has been ordered to report to prison on July 1st.

Bannon previously was sentenced to four months in prison for defying a subpoena from the House J6 Committee.

In response to the news Bannon stated “I’ve got great lawyers, and we’re going to go all the way to the Supreme Court if we have to.”

Bannon is expected to request a “stay of the judge’s order, which could delay his surrender date.”

Here’s what AP reported:

Steve Bannon, a longtime ally of former President Donald Trump, must report to prison by July 1 to serve his four-month sentence for defying a subpoena from the House committee that investigated the U.S. Capitol insurrection, a federal judge ruled Thursday.

U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols in Washington granted the Justice Department’s request to make Bannon begin his prison term after a three-judge panel of a federal appeals court last month upheld his contempt of Congress conviction.

Bannon is expected to seek a stay of the judge’s order, which could delay his surrender date. He told reporters outside the courthouse: “I’ve got great lawyers, and we’re going to go all the way to the Supreme Court if we have to.”

Nichols, who was nominated to the bench by Trump, a Republican, had initially allowed Bannon to remain free while he fought his conviction.

But prosecutors urged the judge to revoke his bond after a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit said all of Bannon’s challenges lack merit. Prosecutor John Crabb told the judge it was “very unlikely” that the full appeals court or the Supreme Court would throw out Bannon’s conviction.

Per ABC:

A federal judge has ordered former Trump adviser Steve Bannon to surrender to prison by July 1, revoking his bail.

The Department of Justice had requested that Bannon begin his four-month prison term in connection with his contempt of Congress conviction.

U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols heard arguments Thursday in Washington, D.C.

Following the judge’s ruling, Bannon spoke to cameras outside of the courthouse and reiterated his intent to appeal, but went onto attack top officials at the Justice Department.

“All of this is about one thing. Shutting down the MAGA movement. Shutting down grassroots conservatives, shutting down President Trump,” Bannon said.

Is this more Election Interference?

Taking one of the biggest and most influential pro-Trump voices off the Internet from now until the Election?

Quite incredible timing….

More lawfare?

More election interference?
