New Polls Reveals Surprising Preferred Running Mate for President Trump

The anticipation for President Trump to name his running mate for the 2024 election has been growing for months.

After months of speculation on when he will announce it, he recently hinted it will be announced just prior to or during the Republican National Convention in July.

Surprisingly enough, a new poll surveying the preferred running mates for President Trump is not even a Republican.

Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, a previous Democrat who turned Independent, is at the top of the list for the University of New Hampshire Survey Center poll.

Fox News expands more on the survey results:

Nearly a quarter (24%) of voters who indicated they are not supporting President Biden in New Hampshire named Gabbard when asked their preference for whom Trump should choose as his running mate.

Gabbard stood seven points ahead of multimillionaire biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who was one of roughly a dozen candidates who unsuccessfully challenged Trump for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.

Two more former primary rivals — Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — stood at 13% and 9% support, respectively, in the poll.

Six percent of those questioned preferred South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, a Trump ally and supporter, as the former president’s choice for running mate.

And 5% said they would like to see former U.N. ambassador and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley as Trump’s running mate.

Despite having a history of siding with the Democratic Party, since turning Independent, her values and decisions have appealed to conservatives.
