It’s college graduation season, and campuses that have become hotbeds of radical leftism dutifully welcomed so-called progressives to deliver commencement addresses cementing the indoctrination students have received throughout their time in those institutions.
But Benedictine College, a private Catholic school in Kansas, bucked that trend by inviting Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker to speak.
During his address, Butker referenced the role faith has had in his life and landed a few jabs at the current president. And despite its support for a host of sociopolitical causes in the past, the NFL drew the line at his defense of traditional American values.
As Fox News reported:
In a statement to People magazine, the NFL clarified that Butker spoke from a “personal capacity” and reiterated the league’s stance on inclusion.
“Harrison Butker gave a speech in his personal capacity,” Jonathan Beane, the NFL’s senior vice president and chief diversity and inclusion officer, told the outlet. “His views are not those of the NFL as an organization. The NFL is steadfast in our commitment to inclusion, which only makes our league stronger.”
Although Butker’s remarks did draw criticism from the usual suspects, a large number of social media users applauded his willingness to stand up to the prevailing groupthink.
Super Bowl Champion Harrison Butker said NOTHING WRONG!!!
We need STRONG, COURAGEOUS MEN to stand up and say what is RIGHT, just like Harrison!

NFL just released a statement condemning Super Bowl champ Harrison Butker for his love of God and support of proper men.
Meanwhile, the NFL has a long history of players committing violence against spouses and girlfriends.

Here are some of Butker’s thoughts about Joe Biden, per The Hill:
“While COVID might have played a large role throughout your formative years, it is not unique,” Butker said during his speech. “The bad policies and poor leadership have negatively impacted major life issues. Things like abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia, as well as a growing support for the degenerate cultural values and media all stem from pervasiveness of disorder.”
“Our own nation is led by a man who publicly and proudly proclaims his Catholic faith, but at the same time is delusional enough to make the sign of the cross during a pro-abortion rally,” he continued.
Biden is only the second Catholic U.S. president and has been forced to balance the hot-button issue of abortion with the Democratic Party base’s support of reproductive rights.
Many reports included truncated quotes from his speech without context, but his full remarks can be found in the video below:
