In a rather unsurprising turn of events, yet another commercial aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing on Friday due to a malfunction.
Delta Flight 520 was scheduled for a routine flight from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) to Los Angeles when it was forced to return to JFK airport.
The flight was forced to return after an emergency slide fell off the commercial passenger jet.
If you haven’t guessed already, Delta Flight 520 is a Boeing aircraft, and this isn’t the first time this particular plane has had these issues either.
This incident marks the latest embarrassing accident for Boeing, which is facing an ongoing scandal and allegations that it killed a key whistleblower. Here are the details on the latest Boeing aircraft to experience a major malfunction:
"Delta Air Lines Flight 520 returned safely to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York around 8:35 a.m. local time on Friday, April 26, after the crew reported a vibration," the FAA said in a statement, adding that the agency will investigate.

A miracle this delta flight 520 to San Francisco didn't have any other serious problems in the air or upon landing. Delta is currently looking for where the slide is. https://t.co/PK9VLOA7v0

Breitbart provided this statement from Delta Airlines:
“As nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and people, Delta Flight crews enacted their extensive training and followed procedures to return to JFK.
We appreciate their professionalism and our customers’ patience for the delay in their travels.”
This is not the first time this particular plane has had this exact problem either. In June 2023, ABC 7 Eyewitness News reported: “Delta flight 520 operating from New York to Los Angeles had to be diverted to Salt Lake City due to a maintenance issue. While on the ground, the slide on the same plane deployed on accident.”

Last year, ABC 7 New York reported that Delta Flight 520 had the same issue:
