RFK Makes Ballot Announcement, Rules Out Political Party

I am libertarian, and I like RFK Jr. RFK Jr. is better than 95% of establishment politicians from the uniparty.

That being said, RFK Jr. is not libertarian. I like the guy, but many of his policy positions do not align with the platform.

Logic would dictate that RFK shouldn’t be on the libertarian ticket, but the long-shot Presidential hopeful didn’t rule out running on the libertarian ballot until now.

Previously, many sources reported that RFK was seeking the Libertarian Party’s nomination.

However, it is now being reported that the Presidential candidate has ruled out that possibility and will not be seeking the libertarian nomination.

This is welcome news to many libertarians, who denounced the idea of RFK running as a libertarian:

ABC News confirmed:

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has ruled out a run as a Libertarian candidate to assist in his efforts to get on the ballots in all 50 states — a marked change from his prior posture, where he kept the door open.

“We’re not gonna have any problems getting on the ballot ourselves so we won’t be running Libertarian,” he told ABC News.

Political candidate and notable libertarian Larry Sharpe had this to say about RFK eyeing the libertarian nomination:

“I think it’s one of the best things in the long run for the Libertarian Party.

People are talking about ballot access like there’s no tomorrow. People are talking about a contingent election like there’s no tomorrow.”

Is he gonna run Libertarian? I don’t think so… I actually think that the best spot for him probably would have been the Forward Party.”

The piqued interest in Kennedy is based in a belief that this could be the most consequential election for a third party since Ross Perot in 1992.

Kennedy would automatically qualify for dozens of states as a Libertarian if he were to formally change his party for the second time in the 2024 cycle.

He could instantly appear in two places with the biggest electoral vote hauls, Texas and California.
