STUNNING: Watch As The Iron Dome Intercepts Iranian Drones Headed Towards Jerusalem


With attacks from Iran underway, Israel relies on their state-of-the-art Iron Dome.

The Iron Dome An advanced form of defense that involves guided missles to intercept those incoming, thereby preventing any damage.

A few people on location have captured those interceptions and posted them online.

Wall Street Journal reports:

Israel’s Iron Dome system, the country’s key defense against missile and rocket attacks, is powered by mobile missile-defense batteries.

When an Iron Dome radar unit detects an incoming rocket, it relays information about speed and trajectory to the batteries’ control center. The control center’s computers calculate whether the rocket is going to hit a populated area. If so, a missile is fired from a launcher, which contains 20 interceptor missiles. Each missile receives constant guidance updates from the control center.
