UPDATE: NTSB Officials Reveal Stunning Delay In Rebuilding Baltimore Bridge

The Roman historian Tacitus once shared the timeless wisdom that “The more numerous the laws, the more corrupt the state,” and something similar can be said of investigations.

The longer the investigation takes, the more corrupt it becomes.

Officials at the National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) have revealed that their investigation into the tragic collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore may take up to two years to complete.

This is ridiculous and unacceptable. It should not take two years to determine how and why a cargo ship crashed into a bridge—it should take two weeks. In the immediate wake of the tragedy, a hopeful Senator Ted Cruz exclaimed:

“I am deeply concerned about the bridge accident that occurred in Baltimore yesterday. My heart goes out to the families of the victims who are currently missing.

We are in communication with the Coast Guard and the NTSB. The NTSB will begin their investigation into how and why this accident happened, and I’m confident we will get answers.”

The Epoch Times revealed:

Investigators have found the ship’s voyage data recorder, which is similar to a black box data recorder used on airplanes.

NTSB officials said an audio recording on the device indicates that the operator of the ship radioed for help from nearby tugboats and reported a power loss moments before the crash.

Colonel Derek Harvey recently appeared on Real America’s Voice and demanded a real investigation into the accident that collapsed the bridge.

The New York Post featured this troubling detail about the cargo ship that struck the bridge:

The Singapore-based Dali tanker was carrying 56 containers laden with 764 tons of hazardous materials –including corrosives, flammables and lithium ion batteries, National Transportation Safety Board Chair Jennifer Homendy said in a briefing Wednesday.
