HEART-WRENCHING: President Trump Describes Meeting With Laken Riley’s Family Before Georgia Rally

Ahead of his rally tonight in Rome, GA, President Trump met with the family of 22-year-old murdered college student Laken Riley.

Their meeting happened backstage, but during his speech, Trump opened up about the moving experience.

He said Riley’s family described the young woman as,

“The brightest light in every room…she was the whole world to her parents and to her sister, just to the whole family.”

President Trump then went on to tell how she was brutally murdered by “an illegal alien criminal who Joe Biden intentionally released into our country.”

AJC Politics commented on President Trump meeting with Laken Riley’s family:

Before Donald Trump addressed the crowd at his Rome rally, he met privately with the parents of Laken Riley, a Georgia nursing student whose killing has become a national flashpoint in the divisive immigration debate.

Trump has invoked Riley’s death to highlight his campaign promise to seal the U.S. border and crack down on illegal crossings. President Joe Biden counters that Republicans squandered the chance to pass a tough bipartisan border deal at Trump’s urging.

Authorities say Riley was beat to death while jogging on the University of Georgia’s campus. A Venezuelan native who entered the U.S. illegally in 2022 was charged with murder in her death.

During the Rome rally, supporters held up signs with “Say Her Name” and a photo of Laken Riley.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden is too busy saying sorry for calling Laken Riley’s killer an “illegal” to care about their heart-wrenching loss…

AP reported:

Biden used the term Thursday night during an exchange in which the president pressed Republicans in his address to pass a bipartisan border security deal that fell apart after Trump opposed it. U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a stalwart Trump ally, then shouted at the president to say Riley ’s name, adding she was killed “by an illegal.”

“By an illegal, that’s right,” Biden responded immediately, before appearing to ask how many people are being killed by “legals.”

Speaking to Capehart, Biden said, “Look, when I spoke about the difference between Trump and me, one of the things I talked about in the border was his, the way he talks about vermin, the way he talks about these people polluting the blood. I talked about what I’m not going to do. What I won’t do. I’m not going to treat any, any, any of these people with disrespect.”

Trump campaign senior adviser Chris LaCivita slammed Biden for apologizing for his language and not to Riley’s family.

“He should be apologizing to the family as opposed to apologizing for the word that he used which is an accurate description,” he told reporters before Trump took the stage.
