WATCH: Biden Apologizes For Calling Laken Riley’s Murderer An “Illegal”

During his SOTU, Biden slipped up and referred to Laken Riley’s suspected murderer as an “illegal.”

His handlers were apparently not very happy with him, and many Democrats slammed Biden over using the ‘wrong’ term.

Now, Biden says he regrets using the word to describe the Venezuelan immigrant accused of brutally attacking and murdering 22-year-old Laken Riley.

“An undocumented person,” Biden corrected himself during an MSNBC interview,

“I shouldn’t have used illegal, it’s undocumented.”

Watch here:

During his SOTU, Marjorie Taylor-Greene forced Biden to go off-prompter, getting him to ADMIT the truth that thousands of Americans are killed by ILLEGAL immigrants.

Joe Biden also got Laken Riley’s name wrong during his SOTU, instead calling her “Lincoln Riley.”

But, is he apologizing for that?

Nope.

Instead, he’s sorry he called her murderer a ‘disrespectful’ term…

The New York Post has more to say:

President Biden apologized Saturday for using the word “illegal” during his State of the Union address to describe the Venezuelan migrant accused of killing Georgia nursing student Laken Riley.

“An undocumented person. I shouldn’t have used illegal, it’s undocumented,” Biden told MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart in an excerpt from an interview airing Saturday.

“And look, when I spoke about the difference between Trump and me, one of the things I talked about in the border was his, the way he talks about vermin, the way he talks about these people polluting the blood. I talked about what I’m not going to do. What I won’t do.

“I’m not going to treat any, any, any of these people with disrespect. Look, they built the country. The reason our economy is growing. We have to control the border and more orderly flow, but I don’t share his view at all,” continued Biden, who referred to Riley as “Lincoln Riley” during the same speech.

“So, you regret using that word?” Capehart asked.

“Yes,” Biden responded.

AP added:

President Joe Biden said Saturday that he regrets using the term “illegal” during his State of the Union address to describe the suspected killer of Laken Riley, as his all-but-certain 2024 rival Donald Trump blamed Biden for her death at a rally attended by the Georgia nursing student’s family.

Biden expressed remorse in an interview Saturday after facing frustration from some in his party for the use of the term to describe people who arrived or are living in the U.S. illegally. “I shouldn’t have used illegal, it’s undocumented,” he told MSNBC. The term was once common but is far less so today, particularly among Democrats who more fully embraced immigrant rights’ issues during Trump’s presidency.

The death of Riley, a nursing student, has become a rallying cry for Republicans, a tragedy that they say encompasses the Biden administration’s handling of the U.S-Mexico border amid a record surge of immigrants entering the country. An immigrant from Venezuela who entered the U.S. illegally has been arrested and charged with her murder.
