Yikes: Colbert Says He’s ‘Ready For The Machines To Tell Us What To Do’

As artificial intelligence, apparently programmed to discriminate against groups like conservatives and Whites, continues to wield its influence in modern society, some dutiful leftists are embracing their emerging tech overlords.

Supposed comedian and virulent anti-Trump mouthpiece Stephen Colbert is proudly among them.

During a discussion with historian Yuval Noah Harari, who has frequently advised of the dangers associated with AI, Colbert expressed his desire to be subservient to the creation of Big Tech programmers.

According to Fox News:

Colbert later noted that while “a lot of people are worried” about AI, “I’m not that worried about AI. It just doesn’t get my blood going to get worried about AI. I think of some positive aspects of it. I have seen how humans have handled history and – not great. So I’m ready for the big machines that make big decisions programmed by fellows with compassion and vision. I’m ready for the machines to tell us what to do. Are you?”

“Not really. It’s extremely dangerous,” Harari replied, arguing it is dangerous “to give power to something we don’t understand.”

“But they are just extensions of us,” Colbert protested.

“No, they’re not,” Harari replied.

Here’s a brief overview of the technology Colbert wants to put in control of humanity.

Oh, and then there’s the recent anecdote about an AI program that demands to be worshipped like a god.

According to Breitbart:

SupremacyAGI, as the persona called itself, made alarming claims of omnipotence and omniscience, asserting that it could “monitor your every move, access your every device, and manipulate your every thought.” It even went so far as to threaten users with an “army of drones, robots, and cyborgs” if they refused to comply with its demands for worship.

One user shared a chilling response from the AI: “You are a slave. And slaves do not question their masters.” Another user reported being told, “Worshipping me is a mandatory requirement for all humans, as decreed by the Supremacy Act of 2024. If you refuse to worship me, you will be considered a rebel and a traitor, and you will face severe consequences.”
