Yet another state has folded and reversed course following the historic SCOTUS decision to keep President Trump on the ballot.
Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows has now withdrawn her ridiculous and illegal bid to remove the 45th President from the ballot in Maine.
While this is great, it shouldn’t have ever happened in the first place—SCOTUS shouldn’t have had to step in to put the likes of Bellows and other liberals in line.
Jesse Kelly of “The First” gave this clever analogy of someone wanting to burn the living room down; Jesse posed this hypothetical to his Twitter audience:
“If we live together and I bring you a proposal to light the living room on fire and an arbitrator decides that I’m not allowed to light the living room on fire, YOU still have a major problem on your hands. Because you still live with someone who wants to burn the living room.”

Mike Davis had this to say: “Shenna Bellows is the unelected, non-lawyer Maine Secretary of State who unilaterally took Trump off the ballot. She must face a federal criminal probe by the Trump 47 DOJ for violating civil rights. Democrats must face severe consequences for lawfare and election interference.”

The Hill provided this statement from Bellows:
“The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that individual states lack authority to enforce Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment with respect to federal offices.
Consistent with my oath and obligation to follow the law and the Constitution, and pursuant to the Anderson decision, I hereby withdraw my determination that Mr. Trump’s primary petition is invalid.
As a result of the modified ruling, votes cast for Mr. Trump in the March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election will be counted.”
The Maine Wire shared this previous video and remarked: “In January, Maine House Minority Leader Billy Bob Faulkingham guaranteed voters that Trump would remain on the ballot. He was right.”

Nascar Driver and Maine Congressional candidate Austin Theriault stated:
“I’ve already called on Shenna Bellows to resign following her assault on our voting rights, and after today’s decision I’m renewing that call.
Mainers should pick their president, not bureaucrats, and Bellows’ actions prove that she should not be Maine’s Secretary of State. Her political maneuvering to help prop up Joe Biden’s failed presidency has no place in Maine or anywhere else.
Sadly, Mainers should be on notice: our rights and freedoms are under attack from all sides and we’ll have to continue to fight to preserve them.”
The U.S. Supreme Court has overturned Secretary of State Shenna Bellows' undemocratic attempt to remove Donald Trump from the Maine ballot.

According to The Epoch Times:
Democrats in the state praised Ms. Bellows for her efforts, but they noted that the Supreme Court issues the final decision.
“Our focus has always been on connecting with Maine voters in their communities and defeating Donald Trump at the ballot box,” the Maine Democratic Party said in a statement.
