WATCH: Father Confesses To Killing Son Over Inviting Girls Over

A Miami man was caught confessing to his wife that he killed their 22-year-old son by fatally shooting him in the head.

The reason?

Apparently, the two got into an argument involving where the son was going to spend the night and some girls he was planning on inviting over…

The man’s confession was captured on Ring doorbell footage as he admitted what happened to his wife.

The whole thing is, frankly, rather bizarre, and the man, identified as David De Jesus Contreras, appears rather incoherent.

Watch for yourself to see what I mean:

This whole thing went down last November, just weeks before Thanksgiving, but the Ring video recording was just released.

David De Jesus Contreras is facing a 2nd-degree murder charge, which, despite the footage of his confession, he has plead not guilty to.

He appeared in court this past Thursday, seeking bond.

Local 10 News has more details on the odd story:

Local 10 News obtained the moments after police said a man confessed to fatally shooting his then-22-year-old son last November.

Eric Contreras, a Florida International University student, was planning to celebrate his 23rd birthday with family on Nov. 6.

That’s when detectives said his 52-year-old father, David De Jesus Contreras, confessed to shooting and killing his son in Miami-Dade County, just weeks before his family could celebrate Thanksgiving Day.

Ring camera video shows David Contreras speaking with his wife from outside of a home after the shooting occurred and moments before he was arrested.

“Is he (Eric) alive? Is he breathing?” asked his wife.

“He’s not breathing. He’s dead. The fighting on the way home was unbearable,” said an emotional David Contreras while being recorded on Ring camera video. “It’s not your fault. Please call my brother.”

David Contreras appeared in court for his arraignment hearing before Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Daryl Trawick last November at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building in Allapattah. He pleaded not guilty to a second-degree murder charge.

NBC Miami added:

A father accused of fatally shooting his 21-year-old son in Kendall back in November appeared in court Thursday for a hearing as he seeks to be released on bond.

David Contreras, 52, is facing a second-degree murder charge in the Nov. 3 killing of Eric Contreras.

Thursday’s court proceedings, known as an Arthur hearing, are similar to a small, expedient trial that could end up granting David Contreras bond.

During the hearing, Contreras was seen crying and breaking down while listening to the 911 call he made after shooting his son in the head.

“What did I do?” Contreras said in the call. “I was fighting with my son…I lost it, he wouldn’t stop.”

Eric Contreras was described by his friends as a funny and loving college student, who often had fights with his parents.

The friends said the family had been in Orlando for a Disney trip but said because of how Eric was acting, he and his dad came back to Kendall, a fight escalated and turned deadly.

According to an arrest report, David Contreras shot his son multiple times “for unknown reasons” then called police and told them he’d shot his son.
